Foundations for Home & Community is a non-profit organization located at 10001 Derekwood Lane in Lanham, Maryland. Specializing in therapeutic and specialized foster care services, our mission is to provide at-risk youth with a caring and nurturing home environment where they can thrive and grow. Our trained foster parents, following the PRIDE model, offer stability, love, and educational/therapeutic support to children and adolescents between the ages of 12-20 who require out-of-home placement. At Foundations for Home & Community, we believe that children are not things to be molded but people to be unfolded. We take an innovative approach to working with youth and their families, applying Systems of Care principles to create public/private community partnerships.
