"This is one of my favorite local bars in downtown Silver Spring. There is an upstairs and downstairs part of the bar. The upstairs is much larger, and is typically where I like to hang out when I go. They used to have live band play there; however, I think it’s been a while since they’ve had a band play. The food is, pretty good my favorite is the calamari, the muscles, the fish and chips, the cesar salad. Their burgers are also really, really good. They have really good brunch as well. They have this breakfast dish that’s made with corned beef hash, which has chopped asparagus in it. It’s amazing! It’s been a while since I’ve been there for brunch, however, they used to have a Bloody Mary bar, where you could fix your own drink. The staff are also pretty friendly. I don’t think I’ve had a bad experience as long as I’ve been going to McGinty’s. Overall, this is a great place to hang out with your friends, grab a drink, and have some great food."
"This was our first time having McGinty’s brunch! I was pleasantly surprised by each dish. Everything was delicious. We ordered the American breakfast, banana custard French toast and Turkish eggs. We definitely will be back!"
"Lively atmosphere. TV's are a decent size to watch soccer. Friendly staff. The Irish breakfast was pretty good. They use real rashers not American bacon. Only problem was that they served uncooked pancakes twice:-( Grateful the manager (?) Was able to wait in the kitchen till a good batch was done."
