The Torrey C. Brown Rail Trail, located in Parkton, Maryland, is a 19.7 mile trail that follows the former Northern Central Railway. The trail passes through historic communities and is open to hikers, joggers, bicyclists, horseback riders, and leashed pets. The trail is ADA accessible and allows Class 1 electric bicycles. Visitors are reminded to be respectful of private property along the Upper Gunpowder River and to help keep the area clean. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources works to preserve and protect the state's natural resources. Serpentine Trail
The Serpentine Trail is located in Owings Mills, Maryland, within the Soldiers Delight Natural Environment Area. Monocacy National Battlefield | Thomas Farm Loop Trail is a historic institution located in Frederick, Maryland, United States. Visitors can explore the walking trails and tour the historic farms where the Battle of Monocacy took place in 1864. The Junction Trail, starting at the park visitor center, covers the area where Confederate forces deployed to attack the bridge at the river below.
