"**Missed the mark - attention to detail, quality, and customer service** I recently had a one color name embroidered on the left chest of my daughters team sherpa jacket. Unfortunately, when I picked it up you could see spacing in between the thread and could hardly notice the name was even there. When I mentioned my concern to the Time-Out rep she said there was nothing they could do to fix it, it was because of the material of jacket. I honestly can’t imagine she thought it looked good. I wish they would have told me prior to having the service completed it would look like I ultimately sewed it myself. In hindsight, from a customer perspective they should have recommended a two color embroidery so the name would be bold and stand out, or they should have run the stitching twice to ensure it would fill the gaps or perhaps recommend I don’t embroider at all because of the material. Sadly, there were a handful of Moms that had the same jacket embroidered with the same out come as mine. Also, a number of Moms that saw our end results and opted to take their daughters jackets else where. In addition to the jacket I also had a name embroidered on the front pocket of a Rebel backpack. The name although stitched nicely and tight (as expected) the name was NOT CENTERED. I know what embroidery is supposed to look like and being in the customer service industry I also know and applaud good service when I see it. However, the quality of service I received at Time-Out was less than impressive. This was my first experience going there and unfortunately my last. Looking back, prior to stitching personal (expensive) items I should have asked, is this a recommended fabric to stitch on, what is the best font size (although on the font paper I was shown .50 was the recommended size for a left chest), best font, do you recommend 2 colors so it stands out? I’m happy to share pictures of my products if needed. Also, I understand my requests were one off items, that were personalized, but those are sometimes the jobs that mean the most and can set a company apart from the rest. I will end on a semi good note and mention, despite the low quality, lack of attention to detail and no accommodation to fix the problem, their turn around time and pricing was quick and affordable."
