"I had the most painful kidney stone and needed Percocet. I called around to so many pharmacies and everyone was out. I called at 6:30 pm- didn’t have to navigate an automatic message, actually talked to a human and they had the medication. My husband went up at 6:50 once they received the prescription and they filled it! Thank you- I will always support your pharmacy from now on."

"This pharmacist hung up on me!! My doctor advised me to call around to see if I could find a place that might be able to refill a prescription that was in short supply. A very nice lady checked on the strength I told I usually take as my doctor told me if they didn't have that strength in stock he could refill another in a different strength combination. She was checking for me when the pharmacist grabbed the phone and said they don't give out that information over the phone the doctor must call them directly. I proceeded to explain the doctor wanted me to find out if the pharmacy had the medication first. The pharmacist proceeded to hang-up on me! I am very disappointed and will NEVER EVER patronize this business again even though I prefer using a small local business. Surprised they are even still in business."

"McDougalls is the best pharmacy in town! I’m always blown away with how friendly the staff are, even the pharmacist: I’ve hitherto never seen pharmacists at other locations interacting with guests unless they had a question. It’s always a curt, cordial conversation; it completely juxtaposes the genuine care I see the McDougalls pharmacist express towards customers. I’m unable to drive, so I walk there whenever I pick up my prescription. It’s about an hour’s long round trip, but the staff always make it worthwhile whenever I pop in. Everybody there’s genuinely a breath of fresh air. It can sometimes be up to a week or so before I pick things up thanks to long hours at work, college classes, and unfortunate weather keeping me from walking up there on my days free of exigent obligation. I tend to call to check in that meds have arrived before making my trek. I have never had to wait longer than a day for a prescription to be refilled. I like to buy myself a drink from there, too, for the walk home: I find their prices to be affordable and convenient. If you’re looking for friendliness and close-knit familiarity in your medication management experience, I sincerely think this pharmacy is the way to go. My loved ones have fought wars on the phone with competing, big-name pharmacies. Overworked employees aren’t to blame here, rather a misaligned upper management that doesn’t care to make such an important job comfortable. I’m not fond of larger pharmacies anymore because of how they treat their employees. This is NOT the impression that I get from McDougalls: It’s not only a comfortable experience for me as the customer, but from an outside perspective, I sense that the staff are comfortable there, too. After my days with Eldersburg are over, I intend to keep this place within my arsenal of medical connections. Thanks for all that you guys do to make others’ lives more fulfilling, including my own."
