The Lower Eastern Shore Children's Center (LESCC) is a courthouse located at 405 West Naylor Mill Road in Salisbury, Maryland. Established in 2002, LESC serves as a secure detention facility for male youth awaiting court proceedings or placement in a treatment facility. Primarily serving youth from the Eastern Shore Region, LESC offers dietary, medical, educational, and counseling services, as well as recreational activities. Students attend school year-round, five days a week for six hours a day within the facility. The Superintendent is Derrick Goins-Witherspoon, M.Ed., and the Group Life Manager II is Shantel Tippit. Visitation to the facility requires a 24-hour RSVP to the Case Manager and must not interfere with school.
