The clinic operates on a sliding scale fee structure to ensure affordability and does not accept insurance due to its status as a training clinic. Services are provided by student clinicians training to become clinical psychologists, who work under the supervision of licensed psychologists. The clinic follows evidence-based practice principles, incorporating various therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. Sessions are recorded for training purposes and kept confidential. Clients undergo an initial intake appointment to develop a personalized treatment plan to address their mental health needs. The clinic operates throughout the year, with closures on UMBC holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year's Day.
