The Furlough Cheesecake is a bakery, cafe, and food store located at 6800 Oxon Hill Road in Fort Washington, Maryland, United States. You can now order our delicious cheesecakes online from our Atlanta site and have them delivered anywhere in the US! Our physical store will be opening this Spring, where you can make in-person purchases and pick up online orders locally. On February 9, 2024, we opened a new location at Tanger Outlets National Harbor. The Furlough Cheesecake was founded by two sisters, Jaqi Thompson Wright and Nikki Thompson Howard, who were severely impacted by the government shutdown in 2018-19. They started the business to support their families during difficult times and have since become known for their mouthwatering cheesecakes. Come visit us and taste our delicious creations!
