The five-acre property was generously donated to the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission in 1978 by William and Virginia McCrillis. Managed by Brookside Gardens, McCrillis Gardens is a serene escape tucked away in a residential neighborhood. Visitors can wander along winding paths lined with a diverse collection of ornamental trees, shrubs, bulbs, groundcovers, and perennials that provide year-round beauty. A pavilion and benches offer tranquil spots to relax and take in the surroundings. With its enchanting atmosphere, McCrillis Gardens feels like a secret garden waiting to be discovered. Please note that there is no on-site parking at McCrillis House and Gardens. Visitors can park across the street on Renshaw Drive from sunrise to sunset. When visiting, be sure to respect the residential neighbors in the area.
