The Science Complex at Towson University is a state-of-the-art academic building located at 7801 York Road in Towson, Maryland. As the largest building on campus, it is a hub for modern scientific research and instruction. The five-story, 320,000 square-foot complex features a multistory atrium at its center, providing ample seating and work space for students to collaborate and study. The atrium also includes theater-style seating for presentations and events, as well as a Student Success Center offering resources for student success. In addition to classrooms and labs, the Science Complex boasts an outdoor classroom overlooking the Glen Arboretum, a 10-acre wooded area adjacent to the academic core. The building is designed to connect with the forest, providing an educational extension and hub for scientific exploration. The complex also includes a rain garden for storm water remediation, a planetarium, observatory, rooftop greenhouse, museum, and vivarium.
