Opportunity Shop
The Opportunity Shop is a nonprofit consignment and thrift store located at 4504 Walsh Street in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Sponsored by St. John's Episcopal Church, Norwood Parish, the Op Shop serves as an Outreach Ministry to benefit the community and charities. Donations are accepted on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm at the red door on the side of the building. Retail experience is not necessary to volunteer - positions include clerks, cashiers, sorters, taggers, wrappers, and helpers. Students in Montgomery County Public Schools can earn student service learning credits by volunteering at the Op Shop.
