Woodlands Alpaca Farm
● Closed“I recently visited a farm with alpacas and I have to say it was a delightful experience. The farm was well-maintained and the alpacas were well-cared for. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they provided a wealth of information about these fascinating creatures. The highlight of the visit was getting up close and personal with the alpacas. They were friendly and curious, and I was able to feed and even touch them. The farm also offered alpaca walking experiences for £27.50, which was a unique and enjoyable activity.”

Reddish Vale Farm
● Closed“Wow! What a magical experience! We always have a great time at Reddish Vale Farm but the Santa Experience was something else. The amount of creativity and magical touches that have gone into creating magic and memories blew me away. The outfits are amazing , the decorations are spot on, the Christmas trees are huge and it all really makes you feel like you are at the North Pole. My son is 5 but I can see us going for a few years to come as it was so cleverly done and watching his face take in all the magic was so wonderful. There are even silly things for the Adults to spot like the Elf and Safety poster and there are photographs in Santa’s grotto of the actual actors. All the elves and Santa were brilliant but my personal favourite was Mrs Claus you are a star. The experience is so organised there are no long waits and it all feels covid safe you need to wear a mask but the spaces are large and well ventilated and some of it is outside too. We couldn’t believe how much you got to do and keep there was an large plush Elf toy that you stuffed yourself and an elf certificate then a letter to Santa and then a gingerbread decorating session which you could eat or take home and hot chocolate for the parents. They got sweets from the elf shop and then the usual toy from Santa was age specific and not one of those that falls apart on the way home! To anyone wondering if it’s worth the money it absolutely is, go for it!”

Strinesdale Country Park
● OpenOldham OL4 2JJ, United Kingdom“Absolutely love Strinesdale foot paths and 2 large Reservoir's that allow fishing. It also has free parking and is that vast of a space you can walk round it and not bump in to anyone. Strinesdale also has a few picnic areas and amazing views out to the Pennines. There are 3 different routes you can take for that casual stroll or if you are looking to explore of the beat and track you can end up right in the hills and come out at a little farm house. All in all this is one of my favourite places to walk my dog and would recommend it to anyone.”

Forest Feet Outdoor Nursery
● Closed“My daughter started here in September just as she turned two, as a nervous and anxious person I was dreading the transition for the both of us but Nikita made me feel so comfortable and was so compassionate towards the both of us during this time. My daughter now looks forward to her weeks here and tells me how much she misses “kita” during their time apart. All of the staff are wonderful and treat the children with the upmost love and respect. They fill their days with multiple activities that are fun but also educational building essential life skills and confidence in our little ones. Their is a indoor nursery with a home from home environment and the outdoor / garden area is full of activities such as a mud kitchen, bug hotel and camp fire. If your child is slightly feral like mine and a free spirit this is definitely the best place for them! My daughters language and confidence has come on leaps and bounds here and I cannot recommend the nursery enough. Thank you for creating a conscious, beautiful space for our children to blossom. There really is no better place local!”
