“Best Chinese I’ve had in a bloody long time!!!!! Salt and pepper chips are beautiful and over not seasoned! Frozen food are good and tasty but their fresh wok made food is beautiful. Got a dry chicken chow mein spicy and it was so goooood. The staff are so friendly and have good customer service. You’ve got to try here!!!!”

“Been here a few times now and it has been excellent every time. The food is delicious, some of the best veggie food I've ever had! Can even take meat eaters and they love it too. The staff are absolutely lovely and attentive but not overly so. When I brought my gran in a wheelchair one time they were so accommodating and nice. I recommend this place to everyone.”

We came as a large group 20 people, it was explained to us simply how to use the hot pots and staff were so keen to help (keep our hotpot topped up, refill our water) food was amazing, and so many different types of vegetarian food and gluten free clearly labeled, we were so impressed, and surprisingly filled up. “Quite possibly the best chippy I've had in over 15 years. The chips were fantastic, the gravy was absolutely amazing and the sausage was delicious and had a much higher meat content than most chippy sausages I've ever had. Fast service and reasonable price too. Will be going again.”

“This place serves one of the best Chinese foods in Manchester, in my opinion. I compared their Singapore Rice with another outlet in Salford and there was a vast difference. You can preorder here or order when you walk in (your choice). It's located at Plymouth Grove, it's close to a bus stop and easy to find on the map.”

“Lovely food - to eat in or take away. Cosy tables so best for smaller groups and got to be quick to get the on street parking but always been able to find a spot. I love the small family feel of it as you can tell everyone cares and is hard working. Very attention staff, (I think it’s the mum) is amazing at shredding the duck, just watch! Would recommend so many things on the menu. Love it here. Busy but not over booked. After moving I still drive over from saddleworth to visit. Thank you for having such a excellent restaurant. “Usually I have the beef curry but decided to try something different. We’ve been coming here since I was a child. How did I not ever think to try the beef satay & noodles? Absolutely beautiful! If I could give it more stars I would. Proper chips. Gorgeous sauce. Soft lovely noodles. If you keep serving up that you’ll make me fat!”

“I do not leave reviews very often but I have to for this one. We came for a Christmas Eve meal in a beautiful setting. From the food all the way down to the service, they go above and beyond to make you have the best experience. Food is bursting with flavour and filling. Had some of the best service I’ve ever experienced here, staff are kind, friendly and fantastic with the children. I cannot fault anything with this restaurant at all. Thanks for a lovely evening. “This review is based on 1 particular meal, customer service, food quality and packaging in comparison to other takeaways I’ve been to in Manchester and London… I don’t usually give reviews unless I’ve been to a place on a number of occasions because sometimes like everyone else, we have bad days therefore, food or service might not be as consistent. However, fortunately to say - Heng Seng have been consistent over the years I have been going there. My review is based on the vegetable chow mien and chicken (halal) chow mien dishes alongside salt & pepper chips and prawn crackers (had other stuff too but I’m comparing to other takeaways). - Over the course of 5 years, me and my partner fell in love with their vegetable chow mien. Tonight, the chicken (halal) chow mien took that spot. Their chow mien is BANGING! Full of flavour, generous on the portion size and not just full of noodles (like some places). It’s not heavy on oil, doesn’t leave you feeling unhealthy or groggy - salt and pepper chips: again, good size, lots of flavour and not too much salt - prawn crackers: these are just right. A lot of places we’ve been to either tastes too fish or are too oily - so hands down, Heng Seng smashed it. We’ve always ordered our food then collected. Never had to wait long and customer service was always exceptional and first class. I’m not a food critic btw - I just know my flavours, oil and spices cos I’m an Asian! Plus I travel a lot. In summary, really impressed with this takeaway.”
