They are really good at motivating students to perform better. The kids earn trophies, medals, candies & gifts for their hardwork. “Here at this school, I actually learn stuff. Unlike most of the people in this review section who don't know anything, I go to this school. I'm not even 'popular', in fact I'm one of the most quiet people in my classes. I still learn things, in fact, I learn better than most of the kids in my class. Probably because I have high patience and tolerance, but it's a good school with teachers that care about its pupils, unlike most of the people in this review section, who are probably just looking for a school to abuse. Oh, and, there's a reservoir near Waterhead, but I go practically every day and don't see anything there.”

“I've recently finished Year 11 here and I am so sad to be leaving! I'm due to come back next Thursday (25th August) for GCSE Results Day, and I can't wait to see everyone! I have absolutely loved my time here ever since 2017, all of the teachers are very polite and if you have a problem, they'll solve it! I have made the most amazing friends who I'll cherish for the rest of my life. DCC is very accessible to students who have physical disabilities such as myself and they are very inclusive. I walked into DCC for the first time thinking that the school wasn't for me and that I was going to be an outcast, five years later, I consider the people at DCC my family! I honestly wouldn't want to have gone anywhere else. I totally recommend this school to everybody! Thanks for everything DCC!”

“My daughter left this school last year with fantastic results. She was always very happy and despite not knowing anyone when she started in year 7 she settled really quickly. The teachers worked hard to support her, especially in her final year, when they were there every evening and during school holidays to support her with her coursework and revision. We always found the communication between home and school good and despite what another reviewer said I always found reception polite and helpful. Longedendale is a really good school. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to other parents.”
