It wasn't, and the security guard saw me looking at the self checkout and asked if I was alright. I asked if you could do signed for delivery on the self-checkout, he said yes and then proceeded to do the whole delivery for me (even knew the value of a passport renewal off the top of his head to put into the machine) and helped me pick the right option.
