“Visited on opening weekend- delicious authentic food and cocktails, and so reasonably priced! A nice touch with the Indian gins too. Great to have a new Indian restaurant in South Manchester, I’ll definitely be back to try out more dishes! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and parking was easy on nearby residential streets- not too far to walk which was ideal!”

“Food is immaculately good. We enjoyed a three course meal at Dishoom. The variety of food is great for Vegetarian and Vegans too. The unlimited tea lasts until 5pm Although, service is slow the food makes up for it. It was unbelievably hot on the day we visited, the air-conditioning was not on.”

“Popped in to use the bar as we were waiting for teens to finish a birthday meal across the road. There was nowhere open to grab a coffee at 6.30pm on a snowy December eve. Although we were not dining in we were welcomed as any guest and the service was excellent even if it was for only 2 coffees and a beer. We are looking forward to coming back for a meal soon. “Tasty, appealing food. Good service and yummy mocktails. We tried a lot of dishes and I can say that this is definitely a higher end Indian, not drowned in sauces, these dishes were well balanced, full of flavour and spiced well. “Enjoy some Indian and Persian food at Ivory IndoPersian Hidden away on the edge of Stockport, Ivory IndoPersian provides a mixture of Indian and Persian food. Each type of cuisine has its own chef, so make sure you order off the menu that you prefer - don’t expect your asian spices on the Persian dishes. It was really busy when we visited, and at full capacity it may feel a little cramped. Don’t let that deter you from trying it out though. The Indian dishes were; \Pani Puri [£3.50] - This was spicy and yummy, with mashed potatoes inside. The tamarind sauce was really tasty \Ivory Indian Special [For 2 £30.00] - Big, juicy, crunchy prawns just the way we like it and with a proper tandoori taste. The meaty lamb chops were done exactly how you want it \Achari [£12.90] - This was such a good recommendation from one of the owners. Sweet yet spicy and filled with a mixture of spices - such a good lamb curry The Persian dishes were; \Mix Mezze [£7.50] - Included the cucumber yoghurt, a mixed salad, hummus and yoghurt. The cucumber yoghurt was refreshing, the yoghurt tasted like plain, greek yoghurt - think it was meant to be garlic and shallots but this didn’t come through. The indian naan bread that came with it was nice, but a Persian flatter bread would have been better \Ivory Persian Special [For 2 £37.00] - Same as the indian special, the lamb chops were pure meat! The chicken was juicy, the flat kebab a little dry and the other kobedas cooked nicely \Zereshk Polow & Chicken [£12.90] - A sweet taste, quite like rose and saffron providing that unusuality. A simple, unique dish that was really nice The sweetness for the end consisted of the list below. We were so full by this point that they gave us little tasters so we could see what they were like; \Gulab Jamun [£5] - Pure yum but imagine with a bit of ice cream, this would have been heavenly. The cardamom wasn’t overpowering at all, which was nice L\emon Cheesecake [£5.60] - A tangy, refreshing hit \Baklava [£7] - Pure sweet, syrupy baklava We’ll be back to try some more of the Persian goodies Recommended for: Curries, Indian, Persian Service: High Price: ££ Halal: Full Menu”

“We went for the Sunday roast of a whole chicken with a platter of sharing vegetables. The gravy was the highlight, rich with a mild spicy flavour. This is such great value and with an Indian twist on a classic English roast, can't wait to eat it again!”
