“Staff are just lovely. Popped in for lunch where I had a very smooth lovely Americano(far less bitter than the chain coffee houses) and a sourdough cheese toastie. Thick cut with plenty of melt in the mouth cheese. Highly recommend this little hidden gem”

When deciding where to have my 30th birthday party a few people mentioned that Fig&Fennel do private events in the evening - wow wow wow! Lee was great! The food was absolutely fantastic - all my guests commented on the huge variety of food on the night and how delicious it all was. “Gorgeous cafe. Fits right in with the Underbank development. The coffee is fab and the vegetarian breakfast (smashed avocado with poached eggs and halloumi) was amazing but it's the little touches that nailed it for me: 1. an umbrella stand and a coat stand, ideal when it's a soggy day outside (no dripping all over the cafe) and; 2. a steak knife to cut the sourdough toast. Much underrated. I spotted the cakes as I paid and went back later to sample. The Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake was incredible. Try the mushrooms on toast. Amazing.”

“After a nice walk down the local loop line and a play on the park, the café in the village is a fabulous place to head for. Warm and welcoming staff, serving delicious hot and cold food.
