“I was recommended Chris Bramah (Extra Mile Health) by my running coach. Prior to Chris’s treatment I had suffered constantly with hypermobility syndrome. This was made worse by running - which I loved. I was in constant pain every day and found day to day tasks challenging. I went to Chris as a last resort, in the hope that I could live relatively pain free. What I did not expect was that after a few months of treatment/working alongside Chris in the gym, I would to be back running and running better than before! One of the qualities of Chris that sets him above any physiotherapists I have previously seen is his ability to solve extremely complex injuries. “My husband visited the Burnley clinic after having severe sciatica pain for several weeks. He was able to book a fast appointment within a few days. The service was fantastic from start to finish. Dr Akhtar was very professional and put him at ease. He was very thorough and got straight to the problem which was a slipped disc on the sciatic nerve. After the initial consultation my husband went back for a spinal injection. He found it was better to have a few days rest off work to enable recovery. Bed rest and gentle excercises every hour helped. We would definitely recommend Dr Akhtar and his team. Thank you”

After the first appointment the pain almost disappeared and after the second it had gone.The treatment he advised was acupuncture which I found very relaxing and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Gorgeous interior, friendly staff (very accomodating of my iced coffee request on a lovely sunny day in saddleworth), delicious healthy food options that are a refreshing change from the usual village coffee shop offerings. Also I absolutely love all the diary alternatives that they offer and so nice not to be charged extra for choosing coconut milk. Will carry on recommending people to visit”

“I came to see Pam when struggling to sleep, during a very stressful period. Pam explained to me how the body reacts to stress and why this can affect sleep. She then taught me to relax and switch off, and taught me not to try and go to sleep - instead just to let go and relax. It became easier to do this as the weeks went on and I haven't suffered with insomnia since. I've felt much calmer and more positive generally. I have recommended Pam to friends (who also found success) and would say to anyone with insomnia or anxiety to give it a try. Pam explained the process very clearly to me and her gentle manner very quickly put me at ease. The sessions take place in Pam's home which is a very relaxing place where you can immediately feel comfortable. You're provided with CDs - free of charge - to continue to practice with at home, so that you can continue the work you do in the sessions. The consultant dr dixit couldn't of been more helpful if he tried, advice was given and actioned and has resulted in a new treatment path for my child. I'm extremely greatful for the talk and outside clinical point of view which was very much needed. I will certainly be back if we need any kind of assessments in the future. He took his time out to ring me late at night and showed what a true Doctor should be like. Staff over the phone were lovely and very friendly caring from start to finish”
