Bolton Museum Art Gallery & Aquarium
● Closed“Really good museum, well worth a visit. An interesting mix of collections, both historical, cultural and natural. The aquarium in the lower levels is a real bonus too. Not always easy to park for free but there's nearby pay and display car parks. The area surrounding the museum is also a nice area of Bolton.”

Hotel Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange
● Open“Very reasonable price and fantastic location. Room was spotless and good amenities. Iron and ironing board provided on request. Free wifi and tv in each room. Also spotless. If I had to fault, the maid walked in in the morning at 8am, she did knock and walk in but I didn’t think I would need to put the “don’t clean” sign on the door as we were only staying one night. But overall a pleasant experience and would definitely stay again!”

Wave Jewellers manchester Has Moved To Kendal Cumbria
● Closed“I couldn’t be happier to have chosen such excellent and precious jewellery to purchase the engagement ring to my lovely and beautiful fiancé. They made her the happiest woman on earth with such stunning and unique ring, full of character and elegance, but also they made my life much easier supporting and advising me with their friendliness and knowledge in the making of such important and stressful decision. They made our dream come true with this little stone and hopefully our future will shine as much as it does! Highly recommended to anyone looking for the perfect jewellery for their loved ones or why not themselves.”

Hallé St Peter's
● Open“Beautiful church owned by the Halle, as a rehearsal space for the Orchestra, but has .any other uses. Recently, Fever have done many concerts who have played to 200+ audiences. The space is also home to many choirs, even those from the community. Camarata and Phsappha have held concerts here too. We,ve also had a number of weddings and receptions here as well as corporate events! We've also had outside events held in here too! St.Peters is even bigger now, since the extension. We have offices, single rehearsal spaces, a Cafe on site, run by Cotton Cafe a d the beautiful Victoria Wood Hall.....so lots of different activities or rehearsals can take place at any one time!!!”

Didsbury House Hotel
● Open“We stayed here on recommendation from a friend and it didn’t disappoint. We were staying in the area due to visiting a friends wedding and we wanted to make the most of our trip up north. Everything about Didsbury is done with so much care and attention. The room was incredibly comfortable, with a large bed, roll top bath and rainfall shower. We also ordered room service while we were there as we were just too tired to eat in the restaurant. The quality and taste of the food was exceptional. The room service is also free which makes life so much easier. Especially when you’re travelling for a busy event or weekend and you don’t want the hassle of dressing up for dinner. There are only a few things I would change if I was being really picky. The TV only has Sky, which was annoying as we don’t like Sky due to the amount of constant adverts. Many places we stay in now has Netflix which is just so much better. The mini bar was also pretty basic stuff but for a high cost. For example Mars Bar for £2. Some of the hotels we’ve stayed in now fill the mini bars with more local produce and it’s free of charge which we think is a better touch. The staff on the day of our arrival did seem a bit flustered as they had a wedding on at the venue (not the one we were attending). So at times it did feel like we were either inconveniencing them or they were rushing. Totally understandable but perhaps recommend they have someone manning the reception at all times. However overall we had an incredible experience and will definitely stay again.”

-
Ordsall Hall
● Closed“Waay too underrated! The whole story gave me goosebumps throughout the castle! U cannot go there and tell me it wasn’t worth it! There was amazing staff that u could literally talk to for hours! A lovely lady told us the whole story of that mansion. Even the scary but heartbreaking ghost story (lady in white). Anyways, just the little artifacts and the architecture is worth seeing! So if you’re thinking of visiting, you should definitely go there! There’s even a huge garden surrounding the place!”
-
Heaton Park
● Closed“Went on a windy cold January day and the park was magnificent!!! It’s only 4 miles from Manchester and on a clear day you can see the Mancunian towers and buildings from the hilltops. There’s a tram stop just beside it so very easy to go to. Wasn’t too crowded at all probably because of the wind. The animals were out and about enjoying the little sun they could find. The gardens are well kept. Some of the food stalls were closed but the cafe and pub were both open for food and drinks”
