Gorgeous interior, friendly staff (very accomodating of my iced coffee request on a lovely sunny day in saddleworth), delicious healthy food options that are a refreshing change from the usual village coffee shop offerings. Also I absolutely love all the diary alternatives that they offer and so nice not to be charged extra for choosing coconut milk. Will carry on recommending people to visit”

“Myself and my partner took my parents here on Saturday night when they had come up to visit. It was a fairly last minute booking so the only time available was 8.30pm but it was so worth it. We arrived a little early and it was very busy! There was a large group leaving and there were another large group sat down at the table. We were told we could wait at the bar and order a drink. The man at the bar was lovely, though clearly very busy dealing with drinks orders for tables as well as the 6 people standing at the bar, but we were happy to wait. By the time our drinks orders were done a table was ready and we were taken to be seated. Every member of staff was a delight in there. And the food? AMAZING. As we finished up our meal the chef came out to ask how our meal was. What a lovely guy! We had a little chat with him before leaving. As we left and got in a cab the chef came running out with my dad's phone and glasses he left at the table. Can't wait to go back. So glad we booked here.”

“Been here a few times now and it has been excellent every time. The food is delicious, some of the best veggie food I've ever had! Can even take meat eaters and they love it too. The staff are absolutely lovely and attentive but not overly so. When I brought my gran in a wheelchair one time they were so accommodating and nice. I recommend this place to everyone.”

“Was staying at a hotel and Ordered some food on just eat. The estimated time for delivery Had passed but the app said the food was delivered. So i phoned the restaurant to find out what happened. I was told that the driver arrived, tried phoning me, but no answer, so they left (I didn't recieve any phonecalls, I was using my phone all the time I was waiting for my delivery) . The guy on the phone apologised, and said he would get fresh food made up for me. After I got off the phone I realised there were missed calls from the driver, even though my phone didn't ring. 15 minutes my replacement order arrived, the driver was apologetic and understanding, and smiling, even though the initial problem was kind of my fault (technology problem I guess),.... Food was lovely, full of flavour, and hot. ..And this was at 3am. That's what you call customer service! Great food, great service, great restaurant. Fully recommend”

“A really lovely hotel in a beautiful town , I stop often and staff are really friendly and helpful , the rooms are spotless and beds comfy which is not always the case with hotels , as for the food , not a huge menu but what they do is exceptional . Definitely worth a stay .”

“Lovely, clean and well presented, small, dog friendly cafe and take away. Ordered 2 spam, egg and cheese barms to take away - £6.80. They take contactless and cash. Staff lovely and polite. Barms were made fresh and took about 5 minutes. Barms were scrumptious! Bread lovely and soft, very fresh. Egg was dippy. Only slight criticism could do with a little more spam. Small step into cafe so maybe a struggle for wheelchair users.”

Selected boxes of biscuits are buy one get one free at the moment. Also the Christmas food to order booklet is out now. Some things are pricey but the quality of M&S food is worth it.”
