Made a last minute decision to come for Sunday roast, and despite the restaurant being fully booked, they were more than happy to accommodate us in the bar area. “Lovely staff in the cafe. In fact I wouldn’t call it a a cafe. I would call it a cafe I wold call it an restaurafe. The only down side was our drinks ( mine an extra hot cappuccino) was sat waiting for the waitress to take it to me. Therefore, it was cold when it reached our table. We were very close too where they make the coffee. The food was lovely and I was provided with with a bag for the other half of the wrap I couldn’t eat so I could take home. The Butcher’s had an amazing array of meat. The steak beef burgers that I bought were the best that I have ever tasted. The young lad that served me was very knowledgeable too. The staff in the grocery department were brilliant too especially when I asked the lady for ‘a quarter’ of pear drops ( I’m old school at 53) she didn’t bat an eyelid and gave me my (quarter) of sweets. What can I say? 24ct gold service.”

“We had a great visit yesterday for a family Sunday roast. The pub was really busy and still the service was amazing from start to finish. We had our drinks order delivered to our table within minutes of ordering. Roast dinner was brilliant. Great team that looked after us on a busy Sunday at peak time, the usual service we’ve come to expect and the reason we keep coming back! ❤️”

“Excellent place to visit for both adults and kids. Indoor tropical greenhouse with orange, banana and other tropical plants. Also an arboretum with a variety of trees and a vegetable/friut/herb garden. Add to that the children's play area, and the mini-zoo and you have a great half-day out.”

“We held a family party for around 50 people at Mellor &Townscliffe. The venue was lovely - big room which we were allowed to decorate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet was delicious and plenty of it. Private outdoor space for the kids to run around in. It was a perfect day and couldn't have gone better. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Peruga!”

“Live around the corner from this pizza takeaway. It's not been open long so tonight we had the pizza takeaway and a garlic bread. First off ,real home baked pizza dough, second was the box was bone dry,no dripping grease under the pizza which was absolutely beut. The choice of garlic bread and pizza toppings are amazing. The 3 for £10 starters were presented beautifully and were delicious, and our main courses were equally impressive. The portions were extremely generous, the landlord and the young lady on the bar were extremely friendly and helpful, the chef was lovely and everything was just perfect. “Great sports pub! The atmosphere is brilliant on a big match day. Flags up in the window, sport event board outside, bunting and plenty of choice for good viewing! The large projector and black out blinds make for a fab viewing experience. Best experience I’ve had so far. All the staff seemed welcoming and friendly.
