Windham Historical Society
● OpenThe Windham Historical Society, located at 234 Windham Center Road in Windham, Maine, is dedicated to preserving the town's rich historical past and providing educational opportunities for the public. The Society owns four museum buildings that were important centers for development in Windham, with plans to expand into a Living History Center known as the Village Green. The Village School, a one-room schoolhouse, is already open to the public by appointment, giving visitors a glimpse into 19th-century education. The Society is currently working on transitioning its acquired property into the Village Green, a future educational resource for the community. With the support of Bangor Savings Bank's annual voting program, the Society hopes to receive more votes to further its mission. Don't forget to visit the Windham Historical Society on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon for a step back in time and a fun experience with history!
