"I do not suggest marriage counseling for anyone in a relationship with a partner who is narcissistic, gaslighting, or consistently exhibits cluster-b personality markers, UNTIL you are mentally strong enough on your own. Marriage counseling in a psychologically or emotionally abusive relationship has a decent chance of damaging what's left of your mental health if you do not have good support. However, after you are mentally strong enough on your own, if you decide to try to make the relationship work, and want a counselor who will stay neutral and pro-couple, I personally found our counselor here is a pretty good one at not recognizing the abuse and blatant gaslighting in session. Maybe it is because they use the Gottman method, or maybe not. I have gone to the Kitchen Table for personal therapy for a year now. I suggest trying them for marriage counseling if it doesn't work at Acadian Counseling for you."
"Brandi did not treat me with integrity or respect. She appeared to be very rude, bias, and unprofessional. She favored my ex and would only communicate with him about my daughter. She did not make an effort to communicate with me. She even volunteered herself as a character reference for my ex when I went to court with him. I felt unwelcome in her presence from day one. Her office felt like a hostel environment. I felt completely shut out and isolated. No mother should ever be treated this way. Shame on this woman! Edit** She also clearly didn’t even bother to list me as the mother, which shows how isolated I was in all of this. She completely shut me out. She made it as difficult as possible to retrieve any documents from her office even though I have just as many rights to them! She treated me so poorly for NO REASON during a very difficult time for my family."
