The program is dedicated to helping low-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities bridge the gap between high school and college. TRIO SSS offers a range of services including academic and career advising, peer tutoring, and a resource library to support students in achieving success at Northwestern State University. The program aims to graduate participants with a baccalaureate degree within four to six years by providing resources to enhance academic success, financial literacy, and personal and social skills. Students must meet eligibility criteria based on low income, first-generation status, or disability to be admitted to the program. Peer Mentoring Program assists incoming students with their college adjustment, time management, and computer literacy skills.
