"My husband and I had been looking to build or buy an already built home for a long time. We both had a good idea of what our retirement home would need to be and look like. It needed to be a timeless, regionally appropriate (southern piedmont farmhouse), designed using classical architecture design principles, welcoming, structurally sound and extremely livable. We looked everywhere and then we found Madden Home Design. The house plan they designed fit all the criteria and we couldn’t be more pleased with the plan we chose. "Purchased the Windsor creek modern farmhouse and the plan has errors. The dimensions are odd and don’t add up some exterior measurements are from outside walls to inside walls. Some are from inside to outside walls and some are inside to inside and some are outside to outside. Paid for crawlspace upgrade and got nothing pertaining to a crawlspace build like crawlspace layout, footings, floor system. When I called the designer they were unhelpful and said no one else has had a issue with this. Why pay for the upgrade when they send you the same outline of the house with measurements as the main page. My very experienced contractor team, building dept, sub contractors, truss engineer, and building supplier have all found issues with the plan. Everyone has tried to work with us to reconfigure the measurements correctly and it’s been a mess. We now call it the headache house. Looks great online but not worth the hassle. The 3rd party company we purchased the plan from has been helpful and has offered us a no build solution but I think the designer should fix the mistakes."

"Do not buy a blueprint from them they do not have the correct measurements payed for a crawl space print was all wrong called and asked if they could correct the issue was told no he would not fix the issue and not their problem had to pay to have it corrected by another architect do not waste you money with this architect"

"If you are looking for a company to design your dream home this is it! The amount of time and attention to detail they gave us was amazing. I was nervous I would end up choosing someone that would get annoyed with the amount of changes we wanted or was too pushy on what we should do. They were none of these things. They were patient with us through the entire process and always gave us their professional opinion on things without being pushy about what we should do. We appreciate this greatly and hope to work with them again in the future."
