Vintage 329

"Came in to Vintage 329 with my wife, she is big vintage Chanel collector. Prices were very much over retail prices for the same pieces on comparable websites for the same pieces, 3x or more. The sales staff seemed to be almost dismayed by the fact that we were hispanic and so young. They acted very condescending when we inquired about items and refused to bring them out of the case for careful examination. My wife asked about a few pieces and inquired if they were able to match prices to that of online competitors, like The Real Real, for the same piece. They spoke to her as if she new nothing about the piece and tired to convince her, a seasoned collector, that their price was reasonable even though it was 3 times the prices and although the one online had the original packaging. I can see why they have such a large collection, it hard to sell when you are over priced and treat your patrons in such a way. They even had the decency to inquire on how some one like us could afford to have such a large Chanel ready to wear, handbag and jewelry collection when my wife showed them her collection. Such a bitter feeling from this place. I recommened finding your pieces from more reputable sellers that don't discriminate and judge a customer visiting from out of town based of their prejudice."

"Incredible service and a huge selection of vintage beauties, coming from a former New Yorker! I walked in in very casual wear and was immediately greeted by Ashley who offered to help. She showed me many pieces of Chanel vintage jewelry. There were so many options, but she helped me narrow it down, never pushing me and allowing me to try everything on. She was inquisitive and realized the importance of my purchase, a birthday gift to myself. The other saleswoman (I forgot her name) chimed in and we had a lovely conversation. Then the owner, Louis Sutton, appeared and we got to talking as well. They are all so kind and welcoming. Not desperate to make a sale, not pushy, and a keen eye on style! I will be coming back, and recommend this beautiful shop to anyone looking for a piece not easily found in stores (the earrings i got are from the vintage 1970s collection!) Thank you for creating such a beautiful experience- I will never forget my first trip to NOLA"

"We were walking by the store after they have closed and I saw necklaces that had to come back next day for it. it seem as they were having a staff meeting or new employee training when we walked in but service was excellent with quite a bit of history of some of pieces by the owner lady. And Loved her energy made shopping so much more enjoyable. Give your self enough time to look everything in the store. I did bought the necklace I came in for but still thinking maybe I should go back for more!! Very unique place.."

"Beautiful store with a helpful, knowledgeable shopkeeper. There's everything from Chanel and historical jewelry to purses and barware. There's even silicone Gucci ice cube trays. Every bit of it is vintage and the price reflects that. I wish I could remember the lady's name, but she was perfection. Answering every question we had while juggling multiple customers and maintaining COVID requirements. Definitely a must-see if you're in the French Quarter."
