Wimbledon tapas
“The best garlic prawns I have had in ages!! Loved the atmosphere, thank you!!”
Bombay Delight - Wimbledon
“A wonderful dinner and I sorry we haven’t tried it sooner. This newish restaurant in Wimbledon is excellent. The staff, service atmosphere and gorgeous restaurant are just bonuses to an excellent meal. The flavors of all the dishes were excellent . They made great recommendations which were spot on. Highly recommend and compliments to the chef”
Giggling Squid - Wimbledon
“An incredibly welcoming restaurant, with beautiful decor and friendly, smiling, knowledgeable and helpful staff - way above your average customer service! It really made a difference to our experience. And of course, excellent food!! The squid was tender and fried in light batter - I could have had another portion, it was that delicious! The pad thai with giant butterfly prawns was full of flavour, and the Thai green curry had the kick required for the dish, very tasty and not stingy on the prawns; I ordered it with coconut rice, which worked perfectly. The black sesame icecream was delicate in flavour and I'm surprised we managed to fit it in.. a wonderful first visit, I highly recommend and I will visit again soon :D”
Côte Wimbledon
“Our first visit to this Cote (sadly Parsons Green & Fulham Broadway closed). Recently refreshed menu and decor (not as dark, but still the classy, French brasserie Cote feel). Good for children (nice entertainment pack) and catered well to my Coeliac wife (gluten free). Really good service when we went. Quite a large venue compared to the others we’ve been too (lots of covers). Highly recommend, merci!”
Franco Manca Wimbledon
“Franco Manca has been our favourites for tasty sourdough pizza! Limited 8-10 types of pizzas and great selection of vegan food too! They also have their daily specials! Staff are knowledgeable and friendly! All in all as usual great experience!”
Bill's Wimbledon Restaurant
“Wow, these guys know how to do service. We came at peak time on a busy Saturday and the soon got us seated and served. There’s no restaurant that I have eaten in that has waiter to consumer ratio, these guys were always there to ensure our glasses were filled and dinner was delivered. Big shout out to Artur and his excellence in table service and the team for our dinner. I choose the Nduja meatballs which didn’t disappoint and my partner had the BBQ beef burger which was divine. All in all 5 star form is both, thanks Bills”
Forno Viaggiante Pizzeria
“Just had my first pizza there. I must say it is by far the best pizza I have had in London. The size is just perfect to enjoy the amazing taste palette without feeling too stuffed.”
Vijaya Krishna
“really cosy lovely local south indian restaurant the people who work here are so welcoming and friendly the food was delicious i loved the onion salad and the popadoms especially the beetroot pickle—the prawn puri starter was delicious fresh little prawns with a really tasty bread. we had the green lamb curry which was so good i love the green sauce very delicious. my favourite was the keralan fish curry the loo is so beautiful it’s like a spa loo ! my new favourite restaurant in tooting i think! xx”
DropShot Coffee
“A nice little cafe near Wimbledon Park and Wimbledon tennis club - around 5-10min walk from both locations. The drink menu and the cake menu is very interesting. We had an Oreo hot chocolate and latte, and Oreo brownie.”
Franco Manca
“Delicious pizzas with every time a limited time special pizza. Only bad thing is they take just card payment without clear notice and if you have only cash you can have problem.”
Dalchini
“Absolutely fantastic experience at Dalchini! We visited for our wedding anniversary - enjoyed the best of Indo-Chinese cuisine! Highly recommend the chicken lollipops, Hunan chicken, both - the Burnt Garlic, and Burnt Ginger fried rice, each with chicken, and the Prawn Manchurian. Loved the cocktails too! Will definitely be visiting often, and have already recommended to family and friends.”
The Cavern
“Great pub and music venue! The landlord, Noel, works tirelessly to keep music live in this fantastic shrine to music. Always love my visits here, sadly not often enough though. Keep up the great work.”
HUNNU Sushi & Bento
“Absolutely delicious vegetarian and salmon sushi!!! The gyozas taste incredible both fried and steamed. Would recommend!!”
Pho
“This place deserves 5 stars very easily due to the food and the fact MAZ who attended to our table was excellent! Firstly, on Friday night the place was very busy but we managed to find a table near the back door entrance. This was only annoying when smokers went into the garden to smoke, and their fumes would come in when takeaway drivers would open the door to collect their food. Please do something about this! Secondly, the customer service was excellent, Maz, particularly since they took our order and looked after us throughout our night. Thirdly, the food is well worth the price you pay! The chicken wing starter was not salty or too crispy; it was just perfect. The sauce it comes with is well worth dipping into with each bite. The mains could not be finished but were taken away. The beef and chicken Noodles were fantastic. The meat wasn't tough; it wasn't dry either. In my opinion, adding chilli sauce made the dish more to my liking. It wasn't the spice; the oil has that something. Overall, this is a place to visit and try out the Vietnamese food!”
Carluccio's
“I love this branch of Carluccios, the setting/atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff are particularly helpful. They also seem to retain their staff for a long time which speaks volumes of management, and also makes the experience better as they great customers as friends.”
Prince of Wales
“I popped in for a pint and a bite to eat. I was expecting the usual pub grub, but my burger was much better than expected. Also the service was particularly friendly which was very welcome on a cold wet day. Thank you all and I will definitely return!”
Watermill Restaurant
“Quaint café/grill in old windmill building and nice exterior covered extension. Excellent service, and very reasonably priced food! I had the half a vegetarian breakfast and nicely done toasts! Was filling and nice! Tea was seriously spot on. Nicely brewed and smooth! One of the best teas I have tasted! By that I mean, I could taste the tea's natural quality without having the urge to add a little sugar. I also got 2 and a half cups from the tea pot! Ambience nice and cosy. If you want to feel like you're at a day theme park, just step into the extension at the front of the café/grill. Overall nice food at a very reasonable price near a windmill. You don't need to go to Holland now!”
