The Holly Bush, Hampstead
● Open“This really is a busy pub if you wish to dine. Especially popular with the locals. There is so much history here and being listed as a Grade 2 building. You need to make bookings to avoid being turned away from their doors. Food is good and service reasonable. Food 8/10, ambience 8.5/10, service 8/10, value for money 8/10. Quite a hidden gem!”

Gander Inn
● Open“Visited the Gander inn today as a quick pit stop for lunch. Great service from the pub managers, Kati & Peter. Tried the festive mac and cheese which was very tasty, I hope they keep it on past Christmas. Can't wait to try this pub again when I'm next in the sutton area.”

The Mason's Arms, Battersea
● Open“Excellent pub just outside Battersea Park Station. Excellent decor with a traditional feel. Great range of guest craft beers always on (counted around 14 craft and about 4 cask plus rare cans too) The food looked fantastic, on this occasion I didn't have any as just came in for a few, however I have had the Calamri before and it was lovely and tasted very fresh. It was obvious from the attitude of the staff that the chef is very well respected and has a passion for their food. For those with the beer app 'Untappd' this pub is verified and has a live menu and a badge to earn. :) The bar staff were really friendly and even had a small chat about the beer when they had time which was a nice touch to the place. Friendly locals too. Excellent transport connections of course. Closest - * National Rail 'Southern' services from Battersea Park. This station is inbetween London Victoria & Clapham Junction. Located right outside the pub. 10 seconds walk approx. * London buses from nearby bus stops. Approx 1 min walk or so. 5-15 mins walk - * Thames Clipper boat from Battersea pier * London Underground Northern Line from Battersea Power Station...station. Plus the usual taxis etc....”

The Salisbury Hotel
● Closed“This is the best roast dinner I’ve had in ages!! The beef, pork, potatoes and veg were cooked perfectly, but the prize has to go to the gravy, it’s absolutely fantastic. The staff were great too, so I’d definitely recommend the Sunday Lunch and it’s also great value.”

The Charlotte Despard
● Open“This pub was dragged from the depths of despair and is now a nice, friendly & homely pub, which is listed in the Good Pub Guide. It has a fine selection of local London micro breweries & beers & wines from around the world. You will not find the regular main brewery brands here except maybe a few select spirits. An amazing selection of snacks & sweets are on offer. The pub also has Legz, the 3 legged pubcat (a Rescue Cat of the Year winner). If you go on Tuesdays there's a free-to-enter quiz with prizes. It also has big screen TVs, bar & board games, darts, a pool table & video console games plus an eclectic juke box. Saturday nights are party nights & a regular vinyl spinner is radio DJ Liz Wheatley. The pub is available for hire for private functions.”

The Cadogan Arms
● Open“Truly an amazing Sunday Roast experience. They have a great menu and serve classics, including Fish and Chips. The food is so tasty and perfectly cooked, and the portions are generous!! The atmosphere is beautiful and high end, yet comfortable. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time, because the pub gets very busy (understandably so!).”

The Two Towers
● Open201 Gipsy Road, London SE27 9QY, United Kingdom“Amazing authentic pub near gypsy Hill. A bit quiet but deserves more recognition as it difficult to keep a pub like the old times. Very friendly staff. Board games, darts and pool can be play and have nice classic music. The front and back beer garden are super nice. Highly recommended if you fancy a nice but not "pretentios pub" (sorry but I like old style pubs)”
-
Lady Mildmay

The Bow Bells
● Open116 Bow Road, London E3 3AA, United Kingdom“Top tip for those in London. Whether you’re just walking by, visiting a different part of London or just moved to Bow- you cannot do better for a pub trip than the bow bells. A great classic British pub environment, friendly staff, reasonably priced beers, a sitting room environment and feel, entertainment from sports to drag queen pub quizzes and karaoke (in the evenings), a welcoming local crowd, great food- this place is really something special. It’s a diverse and welcoming environment, even on West Ham home game days! So if you’re wondering whether to come in or not for a pint or a pizza- I’d struggle to find where you can do better. Big love to the Bow Bells.”
-
The New Inn
● Open“Extremely friendly, chatty, happy, lively and caring staff. Sarah especially. Its an old traditional pub. I can taste they clean the pipes regularly so the alcohol taste fresh, other pubs don't clean often and can notice the difference. I will definitely be returning due to great customer service and atmosphere.”
-
