“First time visit was the first day of business! Very beautiful shop with a large variety of japanese grocery and sushi. There are so many options when it comes to sushi and sashimi.. some are not even available in high end restaurants! Definitely will visit again!”

“Very good sushi in elegant, yet cosy, settings. The tuna tartare presentation and balance of flavours were up to the level of a Michelin star restaurant and the maki were flavoursome and fresh. We were really impressed by the homemade ice-cream with a selection of unusual flavours including miso and sesame. The staff is extremely welcoming, offering exceptional customer service. “Had a lovely lunchtime ramen as saw this place just opened up. Looks lovely inside. Very relaxed and chilled vibe. Staff are very attentive and fast service. I had a tonkotsu ramen. I've eaten a lot of ramens and this was really good. Very tasty and fresh. I did have a lot of ginger in mine which is fine because I like it but may be too much for others. Will be back”

“Editing review back to 5 star, after consistently delicious take away. I used to be a fan of Hashi, then the quality of food dropped. I haven’t ordered anything for over a year until recently, to be pleasantly surprised. I’ve now had a great experience 3 times in a row and can say Crunch and Hoshi maki are great again, Nasu Dengaku is the best grilled aubergine I’ve tried, salmon Tataki is delicious too. Everything tastes really fresh. Please keep it up!”

“Stumbled across Nala and what a great find for superb quality sushi. Small upstairs seating area but there is a downstairs as well. Friendly welcome and everything freshly prepared to order. Tried the Genmai tea and small hot sake to drink. To eat, I had the Takoyaki which was piping hot and melt in your mouth (no chewy octopus in sight) with spicy salmon, fatty tuna with spring onion and tried the snow crab and flying fish roe gunkan. Tons of flavour, perfect temperature of the rice and well balanced flavours. Can’t recommend enough for quality sushi that’s well priced. Happy Eating! Olly”

“Amazing food and fantastic service. The sashimi we had had great variety and very good freshness and flavour. The nigiri was good too, so was the alcohol. The dessert bento was also plenty & the chocolate dessert was very rich, contrasted very well with the fruit. I’m definitely coming back here again!”

“My 12 year old son and I took the Japanese desserts class to learn how to make Mochi and it was fantastic. Simon and Hanna were excellent teachers and super knowledgeable. The class was very well run and friendly and they were very patient with my chatty son and helped him to learn all the techniques. I would recommend their classes to anyone with an interest in Asian food and we will definitely be back. Thank you Hanna and Simon!”

“I was looking for a good Japanese restaurant and I found this one while browsing on Uber eat. I got chicken katsu curry with no much expectation, but it turned out it was really delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the food was still piping hot when it arrived. I will definitely order from them again and hopefully other food will be as good as the katsu curry. Might also visit the restaurant in person just out of curiosity. Well done to the chefs. I definitely recommend it~”
