Frontier - Canada, America & Ski Holidays
● Closed“I found this travel agents after some research and what a gem, my wife and I have always wanted to see the Polar Bears live but arranging the travel to Churchill in Canada was a nightmare. With the help of Frontier Travel we made a custom-built itinerary just right for us whilst also being covered by ABTA and ATOL. The first-hand knowledge and suggestions made to us was superb enabling us to have a holiday of a lifetime, and yes we saw Bears, lots of them.”

VIP SKI
● Closed“As a party of seven people with ages ranging from 3 to 72 (almost), SKI VIP had a tall order to fill. They did not disappoint. From the moment we were on the transfer coach - with a chocolate bar and bottled water to sustain us - to the moment we left - with bacon rolls to eat later, our week was just about perfect. The hotel was warm, immaculately clean and and very comfortable; the food was of an extremely high standard and the staff were unfailingly cheerful, helpful and friendly in all our dealings with them. We were particularly thankful for the daily pick up from the Ski Kindergarten in the middle of the village for our three-year-old and the two older children (7 & 9) and also for the effort put in to give a lift from the hotel to St Christophe when the non-skiing member of the group failed to catch the bus in order to meet up with the others for lunch. We were also grateful when our duvet was exchanged for a lighter one, making for a better night's sleep and last but not least thank you for the delightful birthday cake made for the oldest member of the group. He had long wanted to ski with his grandchildren when he was 72 - and he has now achieved this ambition. We should also mention the excellent tuition given by the ski school to the children, one of whom, at least, was very nervous as he had been quite put off by instruction on a previous holiday (not in Austria). The care given to the youngest child in the Ski Kindergarten was exceptional and she enjoyed (almost) every moment. All these elements, combined with wonderful snow conditions and glorious sunshine on the final few days made this a holiday which has given us memories we will cherish for ever.”

Ski Line Ltd
● Open“I have to admit that we've not yet taken the ski holiday, which might render this review premature at best. However, I have found the responsiveness, thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism of the Ski Line rep Elaine so exceptional, I had to mention it here. Even if we don't end up taking the holiday due to Covid or quarantine or whatever, Elaine has been fantastic. A great asset to this company; I hope all the reps are as terrific as her.”

Trespass
● Open“Really friendly staff. Always informative and happy to help. Whilst some of their prices are questionable they have a really good range of equipment and clothing and their women's department has improved greatly in the last year. The staff are what make this shop as they actually know their stock and how to help you rather than selling you overpriced stuff you don't need.”

Interactive Resorts
● Closed“I have been using Interactive resorts to book ski holidays now for the past 5 years. In that time, i've booked 7 holidays ranging from 4 people up to groups of 28. Each time, i've received excellent, friendly, informative and efficient service from the Interactive resorts team. Thomas has been my main point of contact since 2015 - that continuity of service is amazing as it helps that he knows the type of group we have and places we may like to go to. Others in the team have always been able to help and respond if Thomas has been unavailable; can't fault them. I've actually found their offers and prices to better than going direct to the package provider in most instances. Would not hesitate to recommend booking through Interactive Resorts to any friends / family (as i have done on various occasions).”

Sandfieldtravel Ltd
● Open“I just returned from an incredibly moving 10 day trip to see the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda, and I found so much more than gorillas! The people, the land, the food and yes, the majestic endangered Mountain Gorillas. I decided to go with Sandfield Travel because the owner, Wycliffe, is a native of Uganda and he supports business owned by the people of Uganda. After communicating my main goals to Wycliffe, I just let him do his thing and he did it beautifully. We were greeted, at 4:00 am, by our bright-eyed guide Bosco. Not having traveled much in recent years I was somewhat nervous and Bosco instantly put me at ease. He had our plan and he executed it gracefully even when I was confused. Our accommodations were great, services were wonderful and my only complaint is that they fed us way too much good food! Wycliffe managed to slide a chimpanzee habitation experience into our agenda and wow, I'm glad he did. After 4 hours with the chimps, I felt complete in my experience with them. It allowed for witnessing many aspects of their lives and since much of their time can be spent in the trees I was glad to have more time so that I got to hang with them on the ground too. The next day we were off to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to see the gorillas. We had 2 days of trekking and one day of habitation. The trekking experience allowed us to spend about one hour with the gorilla family once we found them. One hour may not seem like much but the experience feels like such a gift that much to my surprise I was content to withdraw at the end of the experience. We trekked 2 different families in 2 different locations and each experience was so unique that I couldn't say one was better. Much to my surprise the gorillas did not seem bothered by us at all. They seemed relaxed and did what they do much of the day..... ate, groomed, grunted & the babies were hysterical in their play. We witnessed the strength of the family bond when we observed an old Silverback (no longer the dominant male) sitting a distance away from the group with a younger male who had challenged the dominant Silverback the day before and was injured. To witness such a level of tenderness in these massive creatures was touching and reminded me how much we can learn when we open our awareness to the totality of nature. So often we only focus on the excitement of the chase or the kill but those same creatures can demonstrate incredible levels of love, bonding and tenderness. Our final experience was that of "habitation" in which you actually go with the trackers to find the gorillas and once you find them you are with them for 4 hours. The actual tracking gave me tremendous respect for what these trackers do on a daily basis! Habitation occurs with a group of gorillas they are preparing to be trekked.....so, they want to expose the group to a variety of people. This gorilla family had 11 babies and we were blessed to see 5 of those babies. Probably my favorite moment was when the massive Silverback got tired of the baby playing on him & he took its tiny little arm into his giant mouth and gently bit down to let the little guy know he'd had enough. As with most parental boundaries, it worked for about 5 minutes! Hopefully, I can post that video. Well, I guess it's obvious that this was my trip of a lifetime and I thank Sandfield Travel for making it happen! Thank you Wycliffe, Bosco & Vincent.....you guys ROCK! One of the greatest gifts of this trip was getting to know Bosco and our open conversations about his country & life in general. I hope that this review encourages you to take the leap to visit all that Uganda has to offer and knowing that your money is going to support the continuation of mountain gorilla protection and the people of Uganda.”

The North Face - Covent Garden
● Open“I was searching for a waterproof jacket to wear on top of my jacket/coat while riding my scooter or my bike in order not to get wet at all, as I drive before going to work. However, I could not afford over 170/200£ for a Gore-tex jacket. I searched in really many places in London, and I could not find anywhere someone who could give me detailed information about what I was looking for. But luckily in this store I met a very friendly Spanish guy, Ivan D., who really helped me to find what I was looking for. He has shown me many different jackets with different prices and he has even shown me how the jacket reacts to water drops. Furthermore, he made me purchase a product which helps the jacket to be even more waterproof without getting damp. I have tried the jacket before using the product and after using it and I can assure that it does work, as you can also see from the picture. Thank you again IVAN, you have done a great job. Excellent customer-service skills! Well done”
