“I live locally and I stopped by here on my way home from work on the off chance that they were free to do an MOT for me. I was greeted by a friendly chap who said that they could do it right away. I was told that it would take 45 minutes so I went home, had a cuppa and strolled back after about 40 minutes. When I got there, my car had been tested and was parked up outside the garage with my pass certificate inside. I paid, collected my key, and drove away. No issues at all. It’s always a worry when using a new garage as you do wonder whether they are going to find problems with your car just to generate some extra revenue but no such problem at this garage. I’d happily recommend them to friends, family and work colleagues and I will definitely use them again.”

“Finding a reputable and trustworthy garage is far more difficult than it should be. I've been guilty in the past of skimping on my repairs and going to the cheapest quote. My car has suffered as a result. Beam MOT are honest, reliable and transparent. Prices are known up front, work is carried out in an extremely timely and transparent manner. I called at 10:15 this morning for a repair, I was told to bring the car straight away, problem was diagnosed and the part was ordered. I'm sitting here at 13:30 and the repair is already completed! I've had MOT's at Beam many times for previous cars and always felt like they were honest - I'm not taking my new car anywhere else. If you want a garage where you don't have to have that sinking feeling every time you walk in - I'd suggest Beam. “I always see black cabbies here so they must be on to something. As moneysavingexpert says council service centres aren't able to carry out repairs, only do the MOT test so there isn't any incentive to find faults with the car. It's about £60 which is about double the cost of garages near me, but probably closer to the real cost of the test.”
