“Took my two daughters, 5 and 7, and they had a great time. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The token system, whilst a little confusing at first, is not rocket science and it’s convenient being cashless (note food and drink is purchasable with cash or card). The rollercoaster was great fun and the girls loved the soft-play. Seeing as you don’t have to pay to get in, I felt it was reasonably priced as you can pick and choose what you actually want to spend money on. I went for the £50 tokens package and it got us on everything we wanted to go on (rides and games), which for three people, I thought wasn’t bad. Would recommend. “Excellent couple of hours riding for our 6 year old & 10 year old girls.... Safe, structured & fun. Our girls had a lovely time at Poynters Riding Centre. The classes were fun and structured with John the primary instructor and his daughter ensuring the girls had a safe but challenging experience. Julie our 6 year old's pony was no bigger than our dog :-) Misty was a lovely natured grey. The 25 minute or so ride through the woods and common was great for the girls and they did some trotting although not cantering as not ridden for a while. The stables were clean and nicely looked after and the horses and ponies were happy and also well looked after. I like the approach of the stables in that they will not allow bad behaviour on their horses and ponies. This is important for the mounts as well as the children, and our girls who can misbehave at times were happy to comply to the clear instructions given with some humour. We will be signing up to weekly lessons soon, as the parents who already had weekly lessons also praised the stables and the instructors. Parent rides also being booked soonest as the area is excellent for a long ride.”

“Great coach for all levels, even for an old lapsed skier. The passion he puts into this sport is one that we haven't seen since the days of great british skiers (even though he's a kiwi). This new venture is something to behold - it's a great lake; JB will tell you that. Many great names have skied here and this, in my opinion, is what the sport needs - a coach like Chris and a lake like this to get this sport back on the map. What could be better than having a residential ski club - ski, hotel, bar: it's near on perfect. As for Chris' coaching style; I've never met a more passionate and intricate coach than him, he really does see the tiny details that help you improve. I was taught by a great but non-qualified coach when I was 16 and probably learnt a few bad habits and took many years off the sport, but Chris got me up and running in no time, constantly telling me what I should improve rather than towing me along for cash. I would definitely recommend CJM and together with this lake, you can't go wrong. let's get wet!”

“Absolutely LOVED it. Queues weren't too long. Great staff. It was a lot bigger than I expected and had a lot of different diggers/things to do. Lots of different things for different heights. You need to be a minimum of 90cm to enjoy most of it as you need that for sitting a lap. Solo drivers is mostly from 110cm so be aware of the height of your child before you go. One baby change available in the main building but there's two toilets (main building and restaurant). Restaurant has ok food, but it's quick service. I'd definitely come back again. A lovely day out for young and old.”
