“We were here for the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint . Best Yorkshire pudding we’ve ever tasted - fluffy, bouncy and crispy around the edges - perfection. Staff was lovely and accommodating, creating a cosy and lively atmosphere.”

“While I think the initial reaction was 'another coffee shop? at least it's not an estate agent' for most people in Teddington, Local Hero being a new addition to the high street is a dream. They've played into the fact that they're a coffee shop, and not a brunch/dinner/lunch place, and the focus on great coffee pays off with consistently great coffee. (although the pastries and small bites really are great too!) Family run with two other places in SW London, there's a range of different coffees, with all your usual oat/soy/alternative milk, with LH's house roast that makes for a great espresso - one of the only places in the area you can have a magic too (think flat white, but punchier!) Add on friendly and welcoming staff, and Local Hero is a winner for anything from a morning wake up call through to meeting a friend for a chat over a great tasting coffee. They're also dog friendly, which is a huge plus!”

“Absolutely adore this place! I'm here on day 3 of them opening and I'm very pleased with everything. Wonderful simple breakfast and lunch menu I had plain bacon bap but it comes with added extras like melted cheese and poached egg and option to add hash browns. Just love the simplicity of everything the quality of the food was impressive just a bacon bap but it was seriously delicious, just look at the photo! All the items are reasonably priced, for Teddington I'm surprised!! Staff are great, Nihed, his wife and Sam the chef are super friendly and down to earth. I'm so happy this has opened, can't wait to come back with my girls to try the pancakes!!!”

“The Boathouse Design Studio is a brilliant working hub sat on the Thames in a great historic building. The owners have done a great job making it an appealing and relaxed environment, and visitors are always impressed! “A pretty good Spanish restaurant with friendly service. Reservations are recommended even on a weekday lunch as they do get quite filled though walk ins are possible if you go earlier during the lunch service. We enjoyed almost every dish. Standouts were the tempura Guindilla Peppers (great with a beer or G&T, not spicy), Estilo paella (nicely cooked rice, but the choice of a single prawn as the dish accent is perplexing on a sharing dish) and the Prawns Pil Pil (great crunch in fragrant oil, some bread on the side would be much appreciated). The sardines were also lovely. The Spanish tortilla was on the bland side and the lamb skewers too dry.”

“Shambles hosted our Teddington Lunch Club Christmas Lunch, for 26 people. We had pre-ordered our food but people were paying separately which meant lots of different tabs to keep track of, which can't have been easy. They handled this really well though. They also were very accommodating in making a last minute food order change. The food and atmosphere was really lovely and the service was great. Thank you, Shambles! We will be back again.”

We'll definitely be back as the cakes and bread looked excellent too (in fact, we also bought a couple of the olive breadsticks - highly recommend).”

Food was great, great selection of beers, service was good and the secret garden at the back was a bonus. I really not sure why the pub next door is so full when this little gem was half empty, but we took it to our advantage.”

“Excellent food, service and ambience. Waiting staff are prompt and attentive, without bring suffocating. Always with a smile. Attractive, well kept restaurant, bar and garden settings. Menu carries a wide range of tempting dishes, without being a catalogue, good wine list. Recommend the sticky beef with coconut rice - lovely piece of braising steak in a wonderfully glazed sauce of ginger, lime and soy sauce.”
