Café Istasyon
● Closed106 Lower Barn Road, Purley CR8 1HR, United Kingdom“First time trying this new cafe on a rainy day. Warm friendly and busy. Good coffee and croissant - and an inviting breakfast and lunch menu. Turkish Breakfast sounds good - next time. Pretty outside seating deck too wet today even under the awning, but usually busy. Great to have a good cafe near the station and the past office”

Mozart London - Café Bar
● Closed“Quirky little cafe-bar. Had a perfectly nice pot of tea and a really good pain chocolat. I was the only customer in and me and the owner Ken spent the whole time chatting, mostly about photography. Many of his are on the walls, along with several other photographers. There's also a lot of music instruments hanging on the walls and ceiling, Mozart-themed chocolates and other gifts (as the name might suggest) imported from Vienna, classical music playing. Overally a nice interesting place to sit and while away some time taking in the overall ambience.”

Masaniello Café Pizzeria
● Closed“Our favorite local Italian. Gianni is a great gentleman - he always greet locals/regulars with a big smile and nice gestures. We’ve loved this place from our fist visit in 2018 and continue to do so. Needless to say their Neapolitan pizzas and pastas are exquisite! It’s casual and family friendly too. Go, relax and enjoy company with beautifully cooked dishes by skilled Italian chefs.”

La Vida Café and Bistro
● Closed“One of the few places in Enfield that provides all-round comfort. A welcoming and warm atmosphere from the moment you step through the door. I usually come here to get away from my home office and do some work. The food is amazing, the coffee is exquisite and the hosts/hostesses have never been anything but courteous, friendly and helpful. Suffice to say, I am now a regular!”

VATINI ART CAFÈ

We chose our bits to paint and weren't rushed or given any timings so we could just paint and chat. Really nice little place, not overly expensive. We had a great time and will definitely be going again.”

Nama Café and Cake House

the Orpington Café & Record Store
● Closed“I had such a wonderful time going to the Orpington! I feel lucky we are locals to a place like this. The menu is a sophisticated take on classics. Everything is homemade and fresh, with an attention to detail in each dish. Music was great. Beer menu, excellent. I had a salt beef sandwich and it was perfect. We both wanted to order the whole menu and are looking forward to coming back. Scott also seems to care about his team, and that matters. To anyone saying it's a bit pricey: You get what you pay for, and that's never been more true than here. High quality, locally sourced ingredients with well thought-out menus, and a warm and personable experience.”

Canons Café
● Closed“I often eat at canons cafe with my wife and family members, it can be difficult finding a really good cafe in the local area which offers a warm, friendly service, accompanied with an excellent choice of food on the menu, including 'specials of the day'. Without hesitation, I can honestly say canons ticks all the right boxes and I would not hesitate in recommending! The owner is a lovely gentleman and all his staff members are very welcoming and friendly offering prompt service without lengthy delays waiting for your food.. such a fantastic cafe!”

Vertige Café
● Closed154 Canonbury Road, London N1 2UP, United Kingdom“French café just across from Highbury & Islington Tube and Overground station. Fabulous pancakes with caramelised banana, yoghurt, syrup and raspberry sauce. Orange and polenta cake was also excellent with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. The drinks are modest-sized but, like everything else, extremely well done. Stepped in because it was opened before 9am on a Sunday morning. What a lovely surprise.”

Vunch Café
● Closed“Not vegan but we visited this café a few days ago and had a fantastic lunch. Two really delicious salads with pitta bread and roast (??) veg. Meant to take a pic of food but ate it all so a pic of empty plates instead. : ) There are also sausage rolls and paninis. There are lovely cakes too and I loved the vanilla cheesecake . Everything freshly prepared and cooked. Very clean place and friendly staff who are happy to explain vegan food. Would be nice if they had something written down explaining more about vegan food though; meat substitute salad dressings etc.. Don't be put off by vegan food - its delicious! Will be back soon.”

Café 108
● Closed“I love this place! It's one of the local cafes in my area and its been a staple for a quick breakfast or lunch run while working from home. My family and I occasionally go and have Sunday brunch as well. The staff are always friendly and the clientele is varied to say the least (keep fit groups, cyclists builders and families) but the cafe is doing something right as everyone keeps coming back! Great portion sizes and a varied menu means all tastes are catered for. The only thing I would advise is getting there at a good time as it can get really busy and you may have to wait a while to get a seat inside the main area (they do have additional seating at the back of the restaurant with patio heaters if it gets a bit chilly).”
