"The food is general beefeater stock. Not brilliant but you know what you are getting. You come here though for the environment. Lovey big outdoor space ( although I remember it being larger) Food was relatively cheap, and of the expected standard. It filled a hole. Staff were friendly and welcoming."

"We visited while staying at premier inn next door. Food was very good and came reasonably quickly. Service was a little slow especially drinks however they did seen to be a little short of staff on our visit. Overall, very good and would come again."

"This restaurant was an unexpected surprise! We decided to eat out last minute and our usual favourite was fully booked, so a quick search and we found this place. The restaurant has a working water mill inside, which gives it an extra quirkiness about it. We were seated upstairs and were given amazing service from start to end. The server was friendly and attentive, full of smiles - she really did make our experience that much better. The food was great - we had a burger and steak, which can come with a good selection of sides. The dessert, an apple crumble with custard was delicious and a nice size. We will definitely be going back and bringing some friends along with us next time!"

"Not the ideal first meal out post Covid. Parents hadn’t been out for over a year as they are both vulnerable. They finally felt it was safe enough to have a meal outdoors this summer, and then this. Bread that looks like it was kneaded before the first lockdown, and they had the audacity to email me and tell me my symptoms could have been a virus. Right next to a motorway. Staff are slow and absent. Avoid."
