Arepa & Co - Haggerston - Venezuelan Restaurant
● Closed“Cute little Venezuelan restaurant with delicious food at a beautiful riverside. The staff is super nice. Nothing else to add really. The location is perfect. Located at a quite road directly at a small river with a pretty viney house just across the water. Maybe a little hard to find by chance, but definitely worth checking out when stumbling across it. The food is absolutely delicious. I've never had Venezuelan before and unfortunately it's my last day in London, else I would have come here again. I definitely will when I happen to be in London again. We were a group of 7 people and had pretty much all starters. We all agreed that all of them were fantastic. After raising the bar the expectations for the main dishes were high. And we weren't disappointed. It may sound ridiculous and it surely feels so writing this out. But the food was the best I've had in a very long time. I can't even pinpoint certain things. It just was everything. The great staff, the beautiful location, the terrific food. For all of that the price is pretty fair as well. London is a bit more expensive than other cities, so in comparison to other restaurants this definitely offers quite a bit more for the same amount of money. Even if it may sound like it, this review wasn't bought or anything. I wish :D But seriously, do yourself a favour and try it out. Either you just aren't into that kind of food, or you will love it. I definitely did!”

Paloma
● Closed“What a gem of a place. Driven past on many occasion, liked the look of the decor. Five years later I finally found myself in there and can honestly say I shall be going back. Considering the quality of the food and service provided there, this one place is very reasonably priced. They make a mean cocktail too. Not to be pushy, but you ought to try it!”

Big Cheeks Thai
● Closed“Really delicious food and lovely staff. Pictured for starters are pork skewers with coriander sauce (delicious!!) and chicken satay skewers. Mains were thai green curry with chicken, and thai red curry with duck, lychee and pineapple (the sweetness of the fruit really cut through the richness of the curry. Would defo recommend.”

The Vurger Co Canary Wharf
● Closed“I visited The Vurger Co for a quick meal after work and the experience has been very positive. I found the place on HappyCow so I knew that it was entirely vegan, which is already amazing. It's located in a shopping mall so it's only takeaway but as it's part of a food hall one can always find a table to seat. The use of technology to order was good & efficient, and the customer service was friendly. My burger was great, fries so so. I will certainly return to The Vurger Co when I happen to be in Canary Wharf again and I would highly recommend it.”

Veyso's Romford Restaurant
● Closed“Best Turkish in Essex! Been eating here for years and never had a bad meal. The bread is the best I’ve ever had; so deliciously seasoned and their homemade chilli sauce is incredible! Highly recommend ordering the hummus kuvurma. Mains are very large, would recommend sharing 1 between 2 people, or if you order your own and can’t finish it, ask for a takeaway box. My go-to main is the sarma chicken beyti; absolutely delicious! I forgot to take a picture because I was too excited to eat it, but I’ll be sure to get a picture next time I go and update this review.”

The Eagle at Kelvedon Hatch
● ClosedOngar Road, Kelvedon Hatch, Brentwood CM15 0AA, United Kingdom“Lovely pub restaurant. Cosy bar at the front with fires to make it extra cosy. We went to the rear dining room with views of the garden, and it was delightful the watching the birds, the squirrels and the fallow deer visiting the garden. Nice choice of traditional British favourites. I had beef and Guinness pudding which was tasty and also light, perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff.”

Zaffron Indian Kitchen
● Closed“We used the restaurant for the first time two days ago for a family takeaway. We ordered around 10 dishes and every single one was delicious. Vegetables tasted freshly cooked and sauces and spices subtle and delightful. Prices also very reasonable. Don't normally bother to post reviews but feel this restaurant deserves a good one, knowing few can afford to waste money on disappointing food in these difficult times.”

Manthan
● Closed“We came here for a special evening and it didn’t disappoint. We like to try indian fine dining and compare food quality, service and value for money. Manthan definitely delivered on all. As soon as you enter it gives you a wow factor, not too big but not too small. The service is class and they are very attentive. Food is served in good time and the quality of the food is amazing. We ordered some starters, mains and grills with mocktails and we liked everything we ordered. This is now a new favourite place to go to. Now for the price, we found this very reasonable given other places we have gone to and paid way more. Definitely value for money in respect to quality of food for the price. The chicken buttermilk is out of this world! We ordered pyaaz kachori, chicken buttermilk, lamb chops, chicken tikka masala, rice, paratha, desserts and sindhu mocktail. Since the original visit in sept-22 I have gone back in feb-23 and it still maintains its high quality. Around £61pp”
