Silver Fox Micro Pub
“Lovely little place. Very friendly owner. 10 stars for the toilets. Will definitely be back. Great choice of drinks. My partner loved the Bexley brewery bitter.”
The Unicorn Pub
“We popped in on the off chance they’d have a table on a busy Saturday lunchtime, and although they were really busy the lovely Scottish landlady squeezed us in for a quick lunch. It was all very tasty and the team working there were lovely!”
The Jolly Coopers Pub & Fuzzchat Brewery
“Great ‘little’ pub. Friendly, good selection of drinks including ales that pour to a good standard, good food and reasonably priced for an independent local. Welcoming place. Can get busy especially if outside not suitable due to weather so recommend booking if looking to specifically eat as a group.”
Alexander Pope Pub
“Very spacious and friendly pub. It’s in a beautiful location by the river, and has plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor. I haven’t eaten here (only had drinks) but the menu looks good. Staff were friendly and toilets were clean.”
The Beehive Pub | Tottenham
“A great pub in Tottenham. Bartenders are locals, and there’s a great function room that’s available for private events without any fees.”
Dean Swift Pub
“We liked this pub. Very clean and excellent selection of craft beers on tap. Service was on point. We've walked past this pub on previous trips but never made it in until this visit.”
The Mansion Pub
“Very very nice cocktails here, great DJ on a Saturday night for a local vibe I would defo recommend. Friendly staff and great service! Haven't tried food yet so can't comment on that.”
The Greyhound Pub
“Had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Greyhound Pub. The staff was super friendly, ordering via their app in January gives you a £10 off the bill, which is a bonus. Had the vegetarian burger and it was delicious, we cleaned the plate! Chips were cooked to perfection. I definitely recommend it and it’s dog friendly too, so if you have a furry friend, you can take him/her with you.”
The Old Sergeant Pub
“We have been regular customers 4 years ago, but because of bad management and rude attitude, we stop visiting The old Sergeant. This Sunday we accidentally pop up for a beer and we had a chance to try one of the best Sunday roast. I'm quite picky regarding the food and I have been nicely surprised but the new owners, friendly staff and delicious food. I would recommend it again.”
The Village Pub
“The gammon was lovely but the nuggets in the basket not so good. BLT sandwich was also good. The place, the atmosphere was quiet, relaxing. I'm glad I came here Second time I had an amazing steak and a chicken bacon salad and that was good too. Definitely coming back”
The London Stone
“Great bar , great people, live music and a dance floor. What's not to love!!”
Spread Eagle Pub, Wandsworth
“Absolutely lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon in this beautifully refurbished pub, enjoyed a perfectly chilled rosé and the most delicious pork roast, not to mention the jam roly poly just like ‘my mum used to make’- delicious! Attention to detail is fabulous, even down to the cutlery and crockery. Great service, couldn’t fault a thing and would thoroughly recommend- it’s also very dog friendly and the music playlist comfortably in the background was pretty good too! Well done and thanks to the team.”
The Abbey Tavern Pub | Kentish Town
“The Abbey Tavern, 8.5/10 Wowzers. Wowzinho. What a place. Really fine establishment, lovely staff in there too. Had a great table out the back, really really something else. We were easily the first in there. Not that it's a competition or anything but WE WERE FIRST MELTS North London is for real. Reviewed 18/04/21 on @northlondonpints Instagram.”
The Windsor Castle Pub
“Great place. Staff were amazing. Food (pizza) delicious. Will be telling friends and coming back.”
Red Lion Pub
“Had a lovely breakfast, continental was laid out to help yourself, but we also ordered a cooked breakfast too. The waitress was extremely helpful and even went to the local store to see if they had any black pudding as the hotel had run out. Really great service and the food was really good too.”
The Old Frizzle Pub (Wimbledon)
“Enjoyed our first Sunday roast here since arriving in England from the US. I thought it was great. Veggies were great. Meat was tender. Gravy had great flavor. The staff is very nice and we loved the atmosphere”
The Peasant's Revolt Micropub
“Great selection of constantly changing beers, both draught and in cans - as well as a great selection of spirits and ciders. All served by friendly and helpful staff - a gem of a pub!”
The Feathers
“Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. The menu has been recently updated with a lot of great options - I particularly recommend the roast on Sundays too!”
The Bell Inn
“Good old fashioned hospitality to be found here! Great selection of drinks and friendly locals. Highly recommended foe Sunday lunch.”
The Masons Arms
“The absolute antidote to chain pubs. It should win an award for packing eons of nostalgia into a small, brilliant eclectic space. Quirky. Tiny. Lovely. The local you wish you had.”
Jolly Coopers
“Surprisingly deep pub with very narrow frontage. Great food and atmosphere. Loverly old time feel to it.”
Primo Caffe
“Fantastic friendly Italian cafe. Try the aubergine or the homemade carrot cake. Great service from the guy running the food counter, but all the staff are lovely.”
The Leather Saddle
“Fantastic pub, my band recently played here and the staff and locals were very friendly”
The Ladbroke Arms
“Excellent pub in Holland Park. Ambience is superb in a beautiful, picturesque setting full of flowers in the garden and cozy inside. Food was delicious - while on the pricier side, as expected for Holland Park, dishes were made with fresh ingredients and full of flavour. Do not miss the truffle mac and cheese and the cabbage! Reservations accepted inside but terrace is walk-in only. One point for improvement would be to extend their non-alcoholic beer range which currently is Heineken only, so not great, but hopefully over time. Staff were super friendly and attentive too, highly recommend.”
The Grenadier
“Out of the way gem of a bar that's tucked away in a seemingly residential corner of London. Incredibly friendly staff! Great selection of beer and cider. Great bar eats! Highly recommend trying the Scotch eggs! Be sure to look up while you're there. The ceiling is also covered in dollar bills with little messages written on them.”
The Crown & Sceptre, Shepherd's Bush
“The Crown & Scepter is one of those rare backstreet neighbourhood pubs that survived the storm of closing pubs across the country through sheer quality. The reasons it survived are its amazing quality authentic thai cuisine, its great range of beers and its large and comfortable in and outdoor spaces. Its also typically not completely packed out allowing for drop in visits in a time of having to book ahead, even on a Friday night. I would recommend anyone in the area to take the extra steps to visit.”
Old Town Tavern
“Neat little pub. The service was great and the food was tasty. I didn't expect mexican food, but it was quite good.”
