The Child Development Centre
● Closed“My son attended the Child Development Centre after we had exhausted all other avenues through the NHS and essentially got nowhere. I am not disparaging the NHS, I think they are marvellous but they do not have the time or resources to fully help our children the way they need help in these circumstances. We had the Centre recommended to us and it has really changed our lives. The relief that someone was finally making sense of our son's behaviour and difficulties that he was having was immense. He would jump and scream at unexpected noises, he would hate any labels in clothes, he would zoom around the house causing mayhem (not deliberately, quite the opposite he was very happy), but we did fear he had ADHD. He was like Tigger from Winnie the Poo, bouncing around everywhere! His concentration was very poor, he was very silly and immature for his age, he wasn't able to sit and watch a DVD, read a book or play with one toy or game for any period of time, he would get bored very easily and be off to play with another toy or game. From a very young age he would have obsessions - firstly the Fire Service and he would not anywhere unless in a full fireman's uniform with a utility belt, he was 4 yrs old at this stage and then it changed to the Police (5yrs old) and then the Army (8yrs old) with each obsession taking over all of our lives in one way or another. One fact we did find interesting was that Dyspraxia often gets misdiagnosed as ADHD. He was diagnosed as having Dyspraxia traits and audio dyslexia. We received a very detailed report which made so much sense in terms of why he was behaving the way he was, but more importantly we started the programme that would definitely change all of our lives for the better. The programme is not a quick fix solution. You need to be dedicated and understand there will be times when it is frustrating and it seems you are making no progress then other times when it accelerate and the changes are amazing. Most people comment that he is like a different boy now and he really is. Once we were able to get rid of the reflexes he had retained the changes became really noticeable. He is so much calmer now, he can concentrate - he reads so many books now which we are delighted at! The screaming when he's startled has stopped and he's even more tolerant to labels! In the beginning we did the on-line checklist on the website and ticked far too many! However, I would highly recommend doing this as it give you a really good idea on whether there is a problem there that needs solving. My husband and I had the conversation about the cost of the treatment and I remember him saying 'this could be the best money we've ever spent' and he was absolutely right, it was. I would highly recommend going for an initial assessment to find out all about it. We originally met David and then Alex continued all of the appointments and treatments with our son. He is excellent with children, very professional with a firm but easy-going manner. If you decide to do it, follow all of the instructions, they really do know what they are talking about and you will get better results by following them to the letter. The programmes are medication free which I loved, this is a totally natural way to help your child be the best they can be!”

The Children's Workshop Preschool Sevenoaks
● Closed“From the moment we stepped foot into the nursery our son felt instantly comfortable and at home. The Children’s Workshop is like a family and has a very different feel to some of the other nurseries in the area. The staff show such love, care and understanding of the children; they plan activities based on the children’s interests (we particularly liked an update on Tapestry showing the children making dung beetles - a particular favourite of our son); they are very good (and non-judgemental) at addressing children’s individual and additional needs; they do regular updates on your child’s progress on Tapestry and they have a very holistic approach that puts an emphasis on social skills such as being kind and the children having fun. It always makes me laugh when I am in the play park with my son and all the children literally scream and flock the staff when they try and leave the nursery to go home! It just reinforces the lovely relationships that are formed at the nursery. Our son had a difficult transition into nursery, not only having been in lockdown and lacking social skills but also due to family illness. The nursery have been so supportive and have helped us develop strategies together and manage this consistently. They have also helped us to find outside agencies and courses to support us and the communication with the headteacher, nursery’s SENCO and key worker has been brilliant. We always have a very detailed, funny, warm chat with the Office Manager every time we ring up, which also shows how every member of staff has a relationship with the children and parents. TCW have shown our family considerable care and compassion when we have had issues at home and always work to do what’s best to support us all. We have alway feel like we are part of the family and that our son is safe, loved and well cared for. We have also been impressed at their calm and lack of judgement when our son has been involved in incidents and the professionalism that they have shown. I thoroughly recommend TCW and we think it truly is a lovely community gem!”

Natalia Kremen Ballet School
● Closed“The best ballet school for children and young adults in London! It is run very professionally, all teachers are very knowledgeable and serious about the students’ progress, the level is incredibly high and Natalia Kremen’s personal guidance and support is invaluable . The success rate in gaining places in the top professional schools speaks for itself, but it is also a fantastic place and training for those children who “just” want to dance for fun! Tots & Scholars - Nursery & Preschool
● Closed“TAS is an excellent nursery and pre-school setting. My little one has been there for just over a year now and it's been wonderful to see her flourish. The staff are so warm and caring - she and we have great relationships with all of them, and we feel very much a part of the TAS community. The staff also clearly know all the children as individuals and encourage their interests and development accordingly. The approach to learning is fun and creative, whether it's within the setting or out in the community or forest school. If you're looking to get your child into private school, they will do everything they can to help achieve this - I was very impressed with the time and effort invested in getting the children into first choice schools. I also really appreciate the high standard of communication with the parents, as well as the effort they put into celebrating a diverse range of events, often including the parents too! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend TAS to other families, and look forward to my younger one joining the nursery soon!”

art-K Ashtead Ltd.
● Closed“My 11 year old daughter has been attending Art-K for approx 3 years. She loves it. She's always liked art but it's now a passion. She's not overly keen on outside school commitments but Art-K is priority number 1. Kathryn is already laying the groundwork in place to prepare her for an art scholarship. Her school have picked up it too and placed her in an art scholarship group. Thank you for recognising and nurturing her talent, Kathryn. We are all sincerely grateful. Pete”
