“The Open University showed enormous empathy when I was struggling to function. Unbeknownst to me I had exhausted my personal store of vitamin B12 and folic acid. I was losing my ability to focus and often had to re-read previously read text more than once. I feared narrowing of the main arteries in my brain, and began to despair. I was fortunate.
