The River Ale House
● Open“Love this place! This is the first micro pub I've been to and I absolutely love it! Nice and cosy. Encourages talking to each other. Beers are excellent, well-chosen and kept, and *very* reasonably priced. Decent cider too. My new favourite pub in Greenwich, along with The Pelton Arms, and closely followed by The Crown.”

Old House
● Closed“A friendly, off-the beaten track local pub, serving great ales direct from the cask. Very traditional interior, and the locals are engaged in funny conversations and banter. This was a great pit stop on our long walk. I think this was how all pubs used to be - a genuine meeting place rather than somewhere to extract money out of you - I hope it never changes!”

The Kentish Belle Ale House & Gin Palace
● Open“Just wanted to update on my old review. As always a great selection of cask, keg and ciders plus the more exotic cans and bottles in the fridge. From IPAs to sours and stouts, the Belle has it all. They do have a wide selection of gins and mixers too so if that's your bag you'll be satisfied with what they've got.”

Temple Brew House
● Open“The Temple Brew House should be your next evening out in town. The food was delicious and the drinks were fab, all reasonably priced. The staff were super friendly and approachable! The venue looked great and most importantly had such a great atmosphere! A little music would have been nice as background noise, though this may just have been off as there was a game on the TV, however this did not detract from the evening!”

Alice House West Hampstead
● Open“Dropped in here for a couple of drinks on a dry but cold November evening on my way home. Some more hardy customers were still enjoying the lovely seating area out front but I was made very welcome inside. Both staff members that I spoke to were extremely friendly and almost insistent that they brought my drink to my table (without a suggestion of a service charge). Also offering me a bottle of tap water, which I sensibly accepted. The cosy atmosphere was really lovely. Definitely more of a wine/cocktail bar with food, rather than a gastropub, but it suited my purpose perfectly. I didn’t try the food, hopefully next time.”
