“First time trying Ethiopian cuisine, went here clearly because of the reviews. Small place and area doesn’t look very welcoming but let that not fool you as authentic feel, family atmosphere and definitely home made food which was delicious and very friendly staff are 10/10. Very recommended, don’t forget to order spiced tea after food Thank you, will be back one day.”

“Hidden gem! Great variety of dishes, they can adjust the spice level to taste. Chairs are super comfy, perfect atmosphere for a date night. We’ve ordered a meat combo - just watch out because if you do, you don’t choose the combination. We accidentally ordered more dishes thinking they were included, but they weren’t. In the end we got a discount and delicious leftovers, so overall still a great experience! Will definitely be back.”

“Very good Ethiopian at a very reasonable price. It's £32 for the sharing multi platter for 2 very hungry, or 3 sort of hungry people. The Ethiopian honey wine is definitely worth a try, it tastes a bit like sweet apricot juice, quite nice, £5 for a large glass. It's on the way from Highbury & Islington to Emirates, went there before a cup match midweek and couldn't believe how empty it was. This place is a little gem. If you've never tried Ethiopian, it's a bit like Indian, but it's all plopped in little piles on a big plate in the middle to share.”

“Came here May 2022. Had a delicious vegan sharer. Staff were super friendly, loved the music. Extremely affordable (under £30 for x2 vegan sharers + soft drinks + service). Would recommend the red lentil and friend greens curries in particular”

“We are have been eating here for two years now. We visit at least once a month because of the delicious homely food served by the lovely and friendly owner Vikram. We are vegan and Vikram caters to our vegan needs very well. They have plenty of vegan options as well (except yogurt and dairy based desserts). They can make Puran Poli vegan though which is a huge plus :)”

“Generous portions, we ordered vegetables, chicken & prawn (3 of us) couldn't finish it . Taste lovely! We had a pot of spices tea for sharing, bang on! Impressed by the food presentation, great surprise. We just walked in without any information, turned out a great dinning experience, plus friendly service & welcoming staff, definitely on my 'return" list!”

“My new favourite place to eat! The portions are big, the food is fresh and served piping hot. It's very healthy as well (i went for the beef steak with rice and spinach with a diet coke...only cost £8 in total). The man who runs the place is very welcoming and generous. He saw I had a lot of meat still left on my plate and so asked if I wanted more rice - no extra charge! This place is one of London's undiscovered gems!”

“First time trying Somali food - it was absolutely delicious! The rice was beautifully fragrant, and the spice and banana complemented each other very well. They also serve breakfast food (flat-bread), again, delicious. The staff are also very kind :) Note that it is cash-only.”

“Amazing authenthic Ethiopian cusine made with love. All meals served with Enjera which is an ancient gluten free flat bread full of vital nutrients. I recommend special kitfo and lega tibs for meat eaters and ya tsom beyaynatu which is a platter of different vegetable dishes. Prices are reasonable. Great service and a warm welcoming enivironment.”
