“We were recommended Elliot from our local pool supply store, as we had a leak in our liner and tbh had no idea when it had been previously replaced. Elliott came round and gave us a really good quote for both a new liner and a safety cover. He ordered all parts and chased the companies to ensure delivery. On install we realized the leak was actually in the pipework, which Elliott repaired free of charge, whilst on site he also did us a sand filter change and also fitted a new heat pump for us. Elliott was always courteous, punctual and his work was of a really high standard and excellent quality. If anyone ever needs any work doing on their pool, I would not hesitate in recommending Lovett Pools. Thanks so much for the great work.”

“If you’re debating whether to book this for a getaway, absolutely do it. Could not find the words to thank Gil for taking the time to explain everything before we arrived and for an amazing set up of the hut which was completely stunning. We had the hot tub pre lit before we arrived and check in was smooth. Easy to find with lots of directions given. Location is perfect you’ve got a Tesco superstore which is only a 10 minute drive away. The hut itself was super clean and clearly Gil has thought about everything to make the stay a lot easier. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be happily coming back.”

“Excellent open water swimming set up at the new location at Frisby lakes. 250m swim circuit (currently) lots of changing space; spacious warm cafe; strong community and support ethos. Great drinks and cake; stunning sunsets and lovely walks make it a destination even without the swimming. Opening times on FB and swimming booking on Gymcatch app.”

“I came out of fishing retirement and was looking for somewhere to take my 5 year old and 8 year old grandsons when they came up on a visit. They had never been fishing before. I hadn't fished for the best part of 30 years! Went to Purple Badger. The boys loved it. Between them they caught over 20 fish in 3.5/4 hours. And they were pretty well behaved because in between catching fish they still had bites. Rain was torrential for a while but the coffee bar served excellent hot coffee to take the chill off. The overhanging trees make teaching the youngsters to cast a tad difficult but overall an excellent experience! The people who run it all were nice too! Highly recommended.”

“Really good place to go. Some of the most colourful parrots there, apparently 80% are ex pets where the owners could not cope. They have a section where some birds are on the fence and trees by the paths where you can touch them. My favourite was Glen, a yellow and blue Macaw who stole my hat and gave me a kiss. Epic experience.”

“I would definitely recommend Windmill Farm Park for a day trip out. The online booking system was easy to access and use. Staff were very pleasant upon our arrival and made sure we had all the information we needed to make the most of our trip. The Farm Park was well organised with lots of picnic areas under cover. Food and drinks available in the indoor cafe area looked good. All the animals looked healthy and well cared for, there were plenty different types to watch and talk about. The tractor ride was great fun and informative with regards to the crops, animals and windmill restoration. The animal based activities were good, engaged children well and gave them a better understanding of the care of animals and what animals provide for people. Windmill Farm Park is on the must revisit list, many thanks to all the staff involved in making our day out a pleasurable and memorable one.”

“Great place to take your dog for a walk as the walk is about 2 miles around. Has many paths leading to play areas for the kids, wildlife areas and rocky outcrops. Dogs are a loud off lead, but only at certain times of the year. Signs tell you when they need to be on lead and where. Can get very very busy in summer with both the top and bottom car park full to the brim. Car park system works on a barrier system and a ticket is given which has to be paid at the machine on exit.”

“Lovely, tranquil caravan site. Off the beaten track so quiet and surrounded by fields. Situated near to public footpaths so plenty of walking routes available. Slightly slopey in places so bring plenty of chocks! Toilets are adequate. Would certainly visit again.”

“A Very large and well-maintained park, can easily take a full day's time spent. The large play area and swans will keep the kids entertained. There is a small lavender field to add to your entertainment if you visit during the seasons.”
