Clear Creek Park Family Activity Center, located at 717 Burks Branch Road in Shelbyville, Kentucky, is the original and oldest park in the area. With 130 acres of land, the park offers a variety of recreational activities for the community to enjoy. Named after Clear Creek which runs through the park and creates Lake Shelby, the park was established in 1974. The park was generously donated by Dr. A.L. Birch, a local veterinarian, who's family farm once stood on the land. The park system has since grown to over 900 acres with 12 parks spread throughout the county.
