Hickman Creek Nature Center
β OpenHickman Creek Nature Center is a 121-acre park and conference center located in the beautiful Hickman Creek valley in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The center offers two loop trails for visitors to explore, the Woodland Trail and the Meadow Trail. The Woodland Trail is mostly wooded with a steep section along Hickman Creek, while the Meadow Trail is mostly grass with some wooded areas and a small elevation change. Visitors are advised to bring drinking water, sunscreen, bug repellent, and sunglasses for their safety. The center may not have signs or be regularly maintained, but both trails are marked with blazes through most of the wooded areas. To access the center, take US 27 south from Nicholasville, turn left onto KY 1268 for about 3 miles, and look for the sign after crossing Hickman Creek. The gate may be closed, so visitors are encouraged to park on the side of the gravel road and walk around the fence to access the trails.
