TWA Flight 128 Historic Marker
Welcome to the TWA Flight 128 Historic Marker, a poignant tribute located in Hebron, Kentucky, commemorating the tragic events of November 20, 1967. Situated in Boone County, this historical marker (#2344) serves as a solemn reminder of the devastating crash of Trans World Airlines Flight 128, one of the most tragic air disasters in Kentucky's history. Flight 128, a Convair 880 jetliner, was a domestic flight that departed from Los Angeles, California, with planned stops at the Greater Cincinnati Airport (now Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and its final destination, Boston, Massachusetts. Unfortunately, the journey was cut short during its first stop due to adverse weather conditions and lack of approach lights, leading to a catastrophic crash on the farm of B. S. Wagner.
