Partnership Institute for Math and Science Education Reform (PIMSER)
The Partnership Institute for Math and Science Education Reform (PIMSER) is located at 2670 Wilhite Drive in Lexington, Kentucky. Since 2005, PIMSER has been providing customized professional learning services for educators in math, science, and leadership. With over 10,200 teachers and administrators trained across Kentucky, PIMSER is at the forefront of educational reform, offering research-based practices for classroom teachers, instructional coaches, principals, district and university administrators, university instructors, and state-level education consultants. PIMSER was established to continue the quality partnerships and outreach activities of the National Science Foundation grants, the Appalachian Rural Systems Initiative (ARSI) and the Appalachian Mathematics and Science Partnership (AMSP). Through these grants, PIMSER developed 20 Master Teachers/Regional Teacher Partners who work with research scientists, science educators, teachers, and administrators to design and deliver effective professional learning in math and science.
