time. After the wedding and return to Kentucky, I decided to go ahead with the surgery. On January 30, 2014, I underwent surgery to remove the herniated disk and fuse the two vertebrae together. Recovery was slow but progressing. I am currently in physical therapy and hope to be back to “normal” soon. In the meantime, I have been teaching online piano lessons via Zoom. It has been a learning experience for both me and my students but we are making it work. I hope to be back to in-person lessons soon but will continue to offer online lessons for those who prefer it.
