Pleasant Hill Church of Christ is a welcoming place of worship located at 5091 East University Avenue in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Our congregation consists of around 70 friendly individuals who have been forgiven and accepted by God through obedience to water immersion in the name of Jesus Christ. We do not have a paid preacher, as male members are taught to instruct one another. Our worship services include readings from the Scriptures, acapella songs of praise, prayers, a monetary offering, the Lord's table, and a message from the Word. After our worship service, we have Bible study groups for all ages. The congregation at Pleasant Hill Church of Christ has been gathering together since November of 1959, with roots that trace back to the early church established in Acts 2. We follow the teachings and examples set forth by Christ and the apostles guided by the Holy Spirit. We believe in individual responsibility for salvation and adhere to the worship practices outlined in the New Testament.
