Iowa Youth Ballet (IYB) is a non-profit dance company located in Ames, Iowa. Founded in 2001, IYB offers aspiring young dancers the opportunity to enhance their skills in a professional environment. Led by Executive Director Robert and Artistic Director Miyoko, IYB presents a variety of classical and contemporary ballet performances, as well as character dance. Dancers can participate in company classes at the Dancenter and have the option to perform solos or group dances at the annual recital. With a focus on education and experience, IYB offers two company levels for dancers to grow and excel. In addition to regular classes, IYB hosts a summer intensive, master classes at the Joffrey Ballet, and various workshops.
