Nursing and health sciences faculty in Orange City, Iowa

The Northwestern College Science Building, also known as the DeWitt Family Science Center, is located at 710 Arizona Avenue Southwest in Orange City, Iowa, United States. This state-of-the-art facility is home to the college's biology, chemistry, and nursing departments. Opened in January of 2019, the building features large windows that showcase the beautiful outdoors and provide a glimpse into the classrooms and laboratories within. Designed to support research integrated into courses from the first year of a student's studies, the DeWitt Family Science Center offers expanded research space for long-term experiments. This allows for collaborative faculty-student research that prepares students for success in graduate school. The nursing floor is equipped with mock exam rooms, obstetrics rooms, pediatrics rooms, and medical/surgery rooms, each featuring human patient simulators that provide nursing majors with hands-on experience before their clinical rotations.
